- Day 1
Porto
You'll arrive in Porto and check into your hotel in the city center. At 6pm there's a welcome briefing in the hotel reception where you'll meet other group members and get details about what's coming up during the week. If you have time before that, take a walk through Porto's UNESCO World Heritage historic centre to get your bearings.

- Day 2
Afife - Caminha to O Porrino
After breakfast, head north to Viana do Castelo for some free time wandering the historic centre. Then continue to Afife Village where your first Camino walk begins along the coastal route. You'll walk 13 kilometres/9 miles through wild Atlantic landscapes, stopping in Praia Ancora for lunch (on your own), and finish in Caminha at the Spanish border. Later, transfer to O Porrino in Spain for your first night across the border.

O Porrino to Redondela
Your point-to-point hotel walking experience starts now. Each day your main luggage gets transferred ahead while you walk from hotel to hotel. Today you'll follow the Camino Portugues inland through beautiful Galician countryside to Redondela, a nice waterfront town on Vigo's impressive bay. The afternoon is free to wander the charming streets and waterfront at your own pace.

- Day 4
Redondela to Pontevedra
You'll continue along the Camino Portugues to Pontevedra, the historic capital of Galicia's province. Your route has views of the Vigo estuary and crosses the Medieval Ponte Sampaio Bridge, built on Roman foundations and the site of a historic 1809 battle during Spain's War of Independence. Once there, you can explore Pontevedra's well-preserved old town with its pedestrianised streets, granite arcades, hidden plazas, and Galician Gothic architecture.

Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
Today you'll walk deeper into Galicia's interior to Caldas de Reis, known for its natural hot springs that have drawn visitors since Roman times. Your route goes through eucalyptus forests, traditional farming communities, and ancient stone bridges across some of Galicia's most pastoral landscapes. By evening you might have time to try the town's thermal baths, which is a great way to rest your muscles and experience the area's ancient wellness traditions.

Caldas de Reis to Padrón
You'll walk to Padrón, a town with significant religious and literary heritage. According to Christian legend, this is where the remains of Saint James first came ashore, making it important for pilgrims. Padrón was also home to Rosalía de Castro, Galicia's celebrated 19th-century writer. You'll walk through characteristic Galician landscapes of small farms, ancient churches, and stone-built villages. This gradual approach builds anticipation for tomorrow's final walk to Santiago de Compostela.

Padrón to Santiago de Compostela
This is the culmination of your Camino journey and the final approach to Santiago de Compostela. It's also the longest and most challenging walk of the week. Your route takes you through the suburbs and into the historic heart of Santiago, where the magnificent cathedral spires first come into view. The afternoon is free to explore Santiago's old town, visit the cathedral, or attend the traditional Pilgrims' Mass if you want.

Your tour ends after breakfast at the hotel. There are no planned activities, so you're free to leave whenever suits your travel plans. If your flight departs later in the day, the hotel can store your luggage.
