Do you offer this tour in reverse? I would like to end up in Porto.

Unfortunately, we don't offer the itinerary in reverse ending in Porto.

    Asked on May 4th, 2025

Are these tours ever cancelled? Do you have any recommendations for a first timer walking the Camino? What I should pack, what I shouldnt pack, etc? Do I need to bring a sleeping bag? Do you recommend I book the 12th in Santiago on my own? I am planning on staying for that evening before departing the next day. Any recommendations for where to stay? When I get the eSim that is included, when will it be available to use? I am flying in before our trip to spend time at Fatima, it would be good to have eSim available for then, as well as for after our tour together as I will be spending a little more time in Spain.

    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten May 2025

Our trips are guaranteed to depart once we have at least one fully paid traveler. Trips are subject to reasonable itinerary changes. Packing recommendations include lightweight, comfortable clothing: warm layers, breathable t-shirts, hiking pants, waterproof outer layers, hiking boots, walking poles, small backpack, water bottle, sun protection. We will transport your main luggage (one bag up to 18kg) between hotels. You won't need a sleeping bag as accommodation is at hotels. If you want to stay an extra night in Santiago, we can help book post-tour accommodation. The tour does not include an eSIM, you would need to purchase your own.

Is there direct transportation from Fatima to Porto? Would you recommend bringing a camera, or just using iPhone? Do I need a sheet liner? Is passport stamping something the tour will arrange, or do I need to plan for this myself?

    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten May 2025

Bus transport from Fatima to Porto is available, but you'll need to make your own arrangements. Your phone would be sufficient to capture trip moments, but you can bring a camera if interested. Sheet liners are optional, recommended for cold sleepers. Passport stamping is not something we can assist with - you'll need to make your own arrangements.

What is the daily itinerary? How early are we awake? How often do we take breaks, go to restroom, etc.? Where do we get drinking water? Do I need to bring a water filter? Do you recommend having reusable water bottle or a water sac in my backpack?

    Tour Details
    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten March 2025

A single supplement is available if you'd prefer not to share a room on this trip and subject to availability at the time of booking, the additional cost would be USD $640.

Accommodation: This trip includes twin-share accommodation as standard. If you prefer a single room, a single supplement can be arranged for an additional cost. Meals Included: The trip includes 9 breakfasts and 1 dinner, ensuring you start your days energized for the journey. Transfers: If you'd like us to arrange an arrival transfer from the airport to your starting-point hotel, we'd be happy to organize that for you. Regarding your question about comparing this route to the Sarria to Santiago journey you've completed before, could you please clarify further? For example, are you asking about the level of difficulty, scenery, or overall experience?
