Itinerary
- Day 1
Nadi
You'll arrive at Nadi International Airport and get transferred to your hotel near town. After you check in and get settled, there's a welcome meeting at 6 pm where you'll meet your local leader and other travelers on the tour. If your flight gets in early, you have time to check out the colorful Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple or wander through the local produce market to see what tropical fruits are in season.

Sigatoka Sand Dunes and Coral Coast
After breakfast, you'll head south to Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park for a ranger-guided walk covering 4 km through dunes that reach 20 to 60 meters high, with the Coral Coast spreading out below you. Lunch happens at Bula Coffee, which is Fiji's first coffee producer and worth the stop. The afternoon is yours to spend relaxing by the pool or beach back at your coastal accommodation.

Upper Navua Gorge Rafting
You're doing white-water rafting through Upper Navua Gorge in Fiji's volcanic highlands, navigating rapids carved through volcanic rock with gorge walls towering above and rainforest all around, plus waterfalls along the way. There's a lunch break during the trip before you head back to your beachside accommodation for the evening.

Nadi to Suva
After breakfast at the resort, you'll head out to Suva, Fiji's capital. When you arrive, there's an optional guided walk through Suva's market and city centre if you want to go. The Fiji Museum is on your schedule, where you can explore artifacts that go back up to 3700 years and learn about the island's early history. Your hotel sits in a central location, so you'll have the afternoon free to walk around the city and get a feel for the place.

Nabalesere Village and Savulelele Waterfall
Drive to Nabalesere village in Ra province, passing through local villages along the Wainibuka River as you go. You'll do a sevusevu ceremony with village elders, then hike 1.5 km to Savulelele Waterfall (50 meters high) for a swim. After lunch and hot lemon leaf tea in the village, a boat transfer takes you to beachside cottages on Nananu-i-Ra Island.

Nananu-i-Ra Island
Begin early on Nananu-i-Ra Island watching the sunrise and taking time to relax before heading into the water for snorkeling. You'll see plenty of colorful tropical fish swimming around the reef. After lunch, travel inland to reach Naga village where there's a welcome ceremony waiting for you. The afternoon involves walking through the food gardens surrounding the village to see what grows there. Come evening, you'll eat a communal dinner with locals and then settle into the community hall for the night.

Trek to Nubutautau Village
An 11-km trek across Fiji's grasslands takes you to Nubutautau village in the island's interior. You'll have lunch along the way and get to swim in the scenic Sigatoka River. Once you arrive in the afternoon, you'll settle in for the night surrounded by small farms and grassy hills, talking and connecting with the community through talanoa.

Nubutautau Cultural Tour and Departure
Start with a cultural tour of Nubutautau village learning about 19th-century regional history, including the story of missionary Rev Baker. Then a 4WD takes you along the ridgeline between the Sigatoka and Ba rivers before heading back to Nadi for lunch at a local cafe. Your trip ends after lunch, though you could extend your stay or check out the nearby Mamanuca or Yasawa islands.
