Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi to Haridwar
You'll arrive in Delhi and then head to Haridwar, an ancient temple city sitting on the banks of River Ganga at the foothills of the Himalayas. After settling in, the afternoon takes you to Chandi Devi and Mansha Devi temples. By evening, you'll be at Har ki Pauri to catch the Ganga Aarati ceremony, where the river comes alive with lights and prayers along the water.

Haridwar to Barkot
The drive takes you to Barkot, a small peaceful town surrounded by hills that serves as a resting point for pilgrims heading to Yamunotri. The rest of your afternoon and evening are free, so you can relax, wander around town, or just recover from the journey.

Barkot to Yamunotri
Early on, you'll head to Yamunotri, where the temple dedicated to the river Yamuna sits waiting. From Hanuman Chatti, you'll trek about 13km to reach the temple, which honors the second most sacred river after the Ganges. You'll return to Barkot in the evening after completing the trek.

Barkot to Uttarkashi
You'll travel to Uttarkashi, an ancient town known as the 'Kashi of the North' with rich cultural heritage in the Garhwal region. Later in the evening, you can visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest and most sacred temples here, believed to have been built by Parashurama centuries ago.

Uttarkashi to Gangotri
This is a full day excursion to Gangotri, one of the highest pilgrimage sites in India at roughly 3400 meters/11,155 feet. On the way, you'll pass through Harsil, a serene Himalayan hamlet with snow-clad mountains, pine forests, and apple orchards. You'll see Gangotri Temple, Bhagirath Rock, and the Bhagirathi River before heading back to Uttarkashi by evening.

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi/Sitapur
You'll travel to Guptkashi or Sitapur, a beautiful village situated on the way to Kedarnath. Once you arrive, the rest of your day is free for relaxation and settling into your accommodation.

- Day 7
Guptkashi/Sitapur to Kedarnath
Early morning means starting your trek around 19km from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple, also called 'Kedarkhand.' This temple is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located at 3500 meters/11,480 feet near Chorabari Glacier in the Rudra Himalaya. You'll see the massive stone slabs of the temple, the Nandi statue outside the door, and visit the samadhi of Jagad Guru Adi Shankaracharya.

Guptkashi/Sitapur to Badrinath
You'll travel to Badrinath, a beautiful town at roughly 3100 meters/10,170 feet nestled between the Nar and Narayan Mountain ranges. Along the way, you'll see three river confluences: Vishnuprayag where Alaknanda meets Dhauliganga, Nandprayag where Alaknanda meets Nandakini, and Karnaprayag where Alaknanda meets Pinderganga. You'll visit Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and established by Sage Adi Shankaracharya, arriving in the evening.

Badrinath to Srinagar
After breakfast, you'll head to Mana village, the last Indian village on the India-Tibet border. You can visit Vyas and Ganesh Gumpha where Sage Vyas composed the Mahabharata with Ganesha's help, check out the Bhim Bridge, and see Swargarohini Peaks, the path the Pandavas reportedly took to heaven. If time allows, you can stop at Badrinath Temple again before starting the journey to Srinagar for an overnight stay.

Srinagar to Rishikesh
You'll travel to Rishikesh, an ancient temple city on the banks of River Ganga. En-route you'll see Deoprayag at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. After arriving, you can visit Laxman Jhula, Baba Kali Kamliwala Ashram, Geeta Bhavan, and Gangaghat. In the evening, you'll experience the Ganga Aarati ceremony at Har ki Pauri.
