- Day 1
Stockholm
You'll arrive in Stockholm on your own and have the day to yourself. Whether you want to walk around the city or rest after traveling is entirely up to you. Later this evening, head to the train station to board your night train to Åre. The sleeping compartments are comfortable, so you can rest on the way.

Landmarks Stockholm - Day 2
Åre
The night train pulls into Åre in the morning. After checking in at your accommodation, you'll have the afternoon and evening to yourselves. The mountain scenery around Åre is beautiful with lots of hiking and outdoor options available if you feel like getting out. You might also just relax and recover from the train journey.

Landmarks Åre - Days 3 - 6
Åre
You have four days here at your own pace. During this time, there's a half-day snowshoe tour scheduled with local guides. The guided hike runs from 9:30 am to noon (2 hours total) and takes you through areas suitable based on snow conditions that day. All your gear is provided. The rest of each day is free, so you can do more exploring or just take things slow.

Landmarks Åre - Day 7
Åre to Stockholm
After your time in the mountains, you'll head back to the train station in the evening to board the night train to Stockholm. Get settled into your sleeping compartment and spend the night thinking back on what you've done in Åre.
- Day 8
Stockholm
The overnight train arrives in Stockholm early in the morning. From here you have options, whether that's heading home or staying in the city for a few more days if you want to spend extra time there.
