Itinerary
- Day 1
Shanghai
Start your Shanghai tour with a private guide at Yu Garden and Shanghai Old Street, where you'll see Ming and Qing dynasty artifacts up close. After that, you'll participate in a traditional tea ceremony to get a feel for local customs. Then head to Jade Buddha Temple, a 19th-century Buddhist temple with two elegant jade Buddha statues inside. Later in the evening, make your way to the Bund where the waterfront comes alive with iconic architecture and artistic lighting that creates a nice nighttime backdrop.

- Day 2
Shanghai to Suzhou
Your driver picks you up from the hotel for a private car ride to Suzhou, which takes about 2 hours. Once there, you'll walk through the Lingering Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with classical gardens and landscaping. From there, head to Pingjiang Road, a thousand-year-old street where you can browse shops and restaurants for souvenirs and local snacks. Next, tour a historic silk factory to watch traditional silk production techniques firsthand. By the end of the day, you'll be dropped off at your Suzhou hotel.

- Day 3
Suzhou to Wuxi
Start with a walk through Ming and Qing canal streets in Tongli, visiting water markets and crossing the three-ring bridge. You'll see the pearl pagoda and hear local folklore, then take a relaxing boat ride along the river. After that, drive by private car to Wuxi to see the Lingshan Grand Buddha, which stands at 88 meters tall. Explore the Buddha complex with the Nine Dragons Bathing Shakyamuni, Ode to Auspice in Brahma Palace, and Five Mudra Mandala. Touching the largest Buddha's hand is said to bring good fortune before your driver takes you to your Wuxi hotel.

Landmarks Tongli Lingshan Grand Buddha - Day 4
Wuxi to Nanjing to Shanghai
Your guide picks you up from your Wuxi hotel and drives you to the railway station for a bullet train to Nanjing. Once there, visit the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen and hike to the top of Purple Mountain to learn about 20th-century Chinese history with panoramic city views. Next, explore the Xiaoling Tomb of Ming Dynasty, which has impressive ancient architecture and scenic paths with animal statues. If time allows, stop at Confucius Temple to see traditional worship or take a 50-minute boat ride along the Qinhuai River and sample local snacks on the old street. Later, catch a bullet train back to Shanghai where your driver will drop you at your hotel.
