Colombo to Trincomalee
You'll land at Colombo airport where your guide meets you. On the drive toward Trincomalee, you'll stop at Munishwaram Temple and Manavari Temple in Chilaw to see some local religious sites. After checking into your hotel, you'll have dinner and get settled for the night.

Trincomalee
Following breakfast, the day focuses on Trincomalee's temples. You'll visit Koneswaram Temple and Shankari Devi Temple, both positioned on ocean cliffs with great views. If you're interested, there's an optional snorkeling trip to Pigeon Island where you can see coral and fish. Later you'll have time to relax at the beach before heading back for dinner.

Trincomalee to Kandy
You'll head inland toward Kandy with stops at Lakegala mountain near Meemure and Dunuwila Lake along the way. Once in Kandy, a guide will walk you through the city including the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most important sites on this route. By evening, you'll catch a traditional cultural dance performance. Dinner and your overnight stay are in Kandy.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
The drive to Nuwara Eliya includes a stop at a tea factory and plantation where you'll learn how Ceylon tea is made and try picking some yourself. You'll then visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, followed by Seetha Amman Temple and Ashok Vatika in Nuwara Eliya. Before checking in, you'll walk through Hakgala Botanical Gardens. After dinner you'll stay the night.

Nuwara Eliya to Yala
This morning you'll see Ravana Falls and explore Ravana Cave in Ella. From there, you'll travel to Kataragama to visit the multi-religious temple complex and take part in evening temple rituals for a spiritual experience. Later you'll head to Yala for dinner and your overnight stay.

Yala to Colombo
If you're interested, there's an optional early morning safari at Yala National Park to look for leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. After that, you'll drive to Colombo for a city tour that includes Colombo Anjaneyar Temple and Kelaniya Temple. You have the option to visit Lotus Tower for panoramic views of the city and can spend time shopping. Then you'll check into your hotel for dinner.

You'll have free time in Colombo until your airport transfer, which will pick you up about 3 hours before your flight departs. This ends your Ramayana Trail journey through Sri Lanka.
