You'll land at Velana International Airport and head to your transit hotel in Male for the night. The capital has densely packed streets with coral architecture throughout, so if you have time before settling in, walking around gives you a real sense of local life here. It's worth poking around before you ferry out tomorrow.

- Day 2
Male to Maafushi
After boarding the ferry in Male, you'll travel about 45 minutes to Maafushi, which is a local island in the South Male Atoll. Once you arrive, spend time walking around on foot, finding a spot on the beach, and getting a feel for authentic Maldivian island life. Keep in mind that alcohol isn't permitted and you'll want to dress modestly when moving around the island.

Maafushi
Your half-day snorkeling trip starts with heading out to coral reefs filled with marine life and a sandbank for swimming. Later you'll go to Turtle Bay where you can get in the water with sea turtles. Lunch on the beach is included, and they'll record photos and videos with a GoPro for you.
