- 7N Maldives South Male Local Island Hopping
After staying one night in Hulhamale, this trip visited three islands on the South Male Atoll - Guraidhoo, Maafushi and Gulhi. These are local islands with tourist facilities, within 35 km of Male. The accommodation was good on the three islands with air conditioning, friendly staff, comfortable beds and positioned near local areas and 'bikini' beaches. Our guide (Archie) was very knowledgeable, easy to get along with and helped to make the trip very enjoyable. Snorkelling and swimming trips were generally with other tourist groups on a local tour boat. Transportation to and between islands were by local ferry (except for one occasion with a speed boat).
