It was very smooth communicating with Long through WhatsApp. Transfers were timely and efficient. All of our guides and drivers were great.With one lunch exception, the food was excellent. Despite the fact that I only booked a week before the start of the trip (in the high season over Christmas/New Year), my organizer Than (Chris) managed to book wonderful hotels for me. He was always available for questions via WhatsApp and responded very quickly and always very caringly. This gave me an insight into the history, culture, landscape and everyday life. The delicious food is also very inspiring. And all accompanied by "my angel" Than. A surprise Christmas party was even organized, which delighted all the tourists present. I can recommend this trip to anyone who is genuinely interested in Vietnam and wants to travel the country in good company. The stand out highlight on each occasion though were the tour guides. I really enjoyed the streets of Hoi An, and I got myself a tailor-made suit that now be one of the best suits of mine. Enjoyed the visit to Cu Chi tunnel. - Elizabeth· December 11th, 2023The hotels and visits to sites throughout this tour were excellent. The guides were all helpful, proficient in English, and full of fascinating information. We especially liked the visit with the Vietnam Vet and the cooking class on our first day in Hanoi; the cruise on Halong Bay; and the Mekong Delta trip, which included boat rides, bicycling, and a visit to an out-of-this-world Buddhist temple. I would have given the Xin Chao Tour five stars except for two issues with food: - the food on the Halong Bay cruise was far below the Vietnam standard. - the Chu Chi Tunnels visit was an excellent learning experience, but we were starving after the seven-hour trip. The description said we'd taste cassava and tapioca. We were not offered tapioka, and the cassava was dry and nearly tasteless. No one there tried more than one small piece. The other day trips through Xin Chao also said we'd get a taste of something, which turned out to be a scrumptuous many-course meal. Therefore, we expected more from this one. Instead, during the Chu Chi trip there was not even a minimal lunch and no chance to buy our own. I have medical issues and need regular meals.
