Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Seattle to Methow Valley

    You'll meet early in Seattle and drive 3-4 hours to Methow Valley, stopping for lunch along the way. Once you arrive, get fitted for ski gear and take an introductory lesson in the flat test area by the ski shop if you're new to this, or head straight to the groomed trails if you've got experience. Settle into the Inn at Mazama for your first night.

  2. Day 2

    Methow Valley

    After an optional short lesson if you want one, ski the flat-to-rolling 10 km section of the Methow Community Trail. You can loop back on an 8 km rolling section or grab a shuttle if you need it. Lunch happens at the Mazama Country Store, then the afternoon is yours to soak in the hot tub, try snowshoes, or take a 10-12 km out-and-back cruise to Base Camp.

  3. Day 3

    Methow Valley

    Head to the upper valley after breakfast and ski the River Run Loop, which winds through snow-covered valleys with Cascade Range peaks in view. The trails mix cozy wooded sections with open meadows and big flat loops. Stop at 'Cow Beach' for a sunny break, then head to Jack's Hut for hot chocolate. The afternoon leaves you free to keep exploring or relax by the lodge fire.

    Methow Valley to Winthrop

    Ski south 18 km on the community trail toward Brown's Farm this morning, and you can hop in the van whenever you need. Meet your guide at Brown's Farm, then shuttle to Winthrop for a hot lunch. Back at the lodge, soak in the hot tub and book a massage if that appeals to you, or explore ridge views on snowshoes. Dinner is at the lodge.

    Winthrop Area

    Shuttle into Winthrop in the morning and pick between fat biking, snowshoeing, or skiing from the lodge with all rentals included. Later, head to Chickadee Trailhead to check out new trails with woodsy terrain and options for different skill levels. Spend the afternoon getting a massage, soaking in the hot tub, or sitting by the fire. Dinner wraps up the evening in Winthrop.

    Eat breakfast at the lodge and ski the Chickadee Trails for a half day of skiing. Pack your things and shuttle back to Winthrop to walk around town and grab lunch on your own. Then it's time to get back in the van for the drive home to Seattle.
