Itinerary
- Day 1
Copenhagen
Your Scandinavian journey kicks off in Copenhagen. After you settle into your Special Stay accommodation, you'll find yourself in Denmark's capital where historic palaces sit alongside copper-roofed townhouses and modern design. The harbour is the city's main draw, and when you have time to yourself, you can explore it by boat or kayak.

- Day 2
Copenhagen
Start the day at Rosenborg Castle, a Renaissance palace from 1606 holding Denmark's crown jewels and royal treasures. Next you'll see the courtyard at Amalienborg Palace where the Danish Royal Family lives. After that, choose between a canal cruise past Christiansborg Palace and the Little Mermaid, or head to Tivoli Gardens amusement park instead. By evening, you'll have a farewell dinner at one of Copenhagen's top restaurants.

Copenhagen to Stockholm
You'll transfer to the airport and fly to Stockholm, Sweden's capital spread across 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges. The city opens out to the Baltic Sea through an archipelago with around 30,000 islands. Once you reach your Special Stay hotel, you'll have two nights here in this creative hub known for music, design, fashion and technology.

Stockholm
With a local guide, you'll walk through Stockholm starting at City Hall with its golden Three Crowns spire, then the Riddarholm Church and Royal Palace. Later you'll head to Djurgården island to see the Vasa Ship Museum, featuring a 17th-century warship that sank on its first voyage in 1628. This evening brings Swedish cuisine with European influences served in a striking setting.

Stockholm to Oslo
A short flight takes you to Oslo, Norway's capital and the smallest among the three Scandinavian countries but full of cultural and nature experiences. Forests and parks cover half the city, mixing historic buildings with modern architecture. You'll get a private backstage tour of the Opera House with a specialist guide, take in rooftop views, and have a glass of wine.

Oslo
On Bygdøy Peninsula you'll find three museums celebrating Norse maritime heritage. The Viking Ship Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, and the Fram wooden ship show Viking history and Arctic expeditions. You can step aboard the Fram and learn how crews managed extreme polar conditions. Later, an art specialist guides you through the Munch Museum, one of the world's most complete single-artist collections including 'The Scream'.

Oslo to Lofthus
You'll drive through Hardangervidda National Park, Europe's highest mountain plateau and Norway's largest national park with the country's biggest wild reindeer herd. After that you'll reach Lofthus, known for its fruit trees and cider production. Your Special Stay offers views of the Hardanger Fjord and the Folgefonna glacier, Norway's third largest.

Lofthus to Bergen
The drive from Lofthus to Bergen takes you through Norway to a Hanseatic fishing port from the 12th century. Today Bergen is Norway's second largest city but keeps the charm of a small town with seven surrounding hills dotted in colourful houses. It's known as the 'Heart of the Fjords' and is considered one of Norway's most beautiful cities.

Bergen
Bergen's medieval character comes through in its narrow cobblestone streets and the World Heritage-listed Bryggen wharf reflecting the city's 12th-century port importance. You'll visit Troldhaugen, former home of composer Edvard Grieg. Then choose between the funicular up Mount Fløyen for city and fjord views, or take the tram to Fantoft Stave Church, carefully rebuilt after a 1992 fire.
