Itinerary
- Day 1
Flagstaff to Grand Canyon South Rim
You'll get picked up early from your Flagstaff hotel and head to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Once you arrive, you'll put on your hiking boots and tackle the South Kaibab Trail, a moderate hike that follows a narrow ridgeline with great views across the canyon. Later in the afternoon, you'll check into the historic El Tovar Hotel right on the rim for two nights. That evening you'll have dinner and watch the sunset over the canyon.

Grand Canyon South Rim
After breakfast, you'll hike the Bright Angel Fault trail, walking in the footsteps of Native Americans on a winding path below the rim. Your guide will share details about the area's history, geology, and ecology as you go. You can choose either a 3-mile or 6-mile round trip depending on how far you want to go. You'll stop midway for a picnic lunch with views stretching across the canyon, then head back up to the rim. Dinner at El Tovar Hotel overlooks the Grand Canyon again this evening.

Grand Canyon to Flagstaff
Your last hike takes you on the Grandview Trail, which has some great views of the canyon and the Colorado River far below. Your guide will tell you about the trail's history, including how miner Pete Berry hand-carved it in the late 1800s while extracting copper ore. After you finish hiking, you'll leave through the East Entrance and stop at the Desert View Watchtower, a four-story historic stone building designed after a Native American tower. After taking in one last look at the Grand Canyon, you'll drive back to Flagstaff, getting there around 5pm.
