Nazaré
You'll start in Óbidos, a medieval town that's remarkably well preserved and surrounded by ancient walls. Walking through the cobbled streets, you'll come across the Jewish quarter and get a sense of how this place has maintained its character over centuries. The 12th-century castle is worth checking out for views over the town and countryside. After spending time there, head to Nazaré, a fishing village known for its massive waves and dramatic coastal setting. Forte de São Miguel sits perched above the Atlantic cliffs and gives you a real feel for how this place was fortified historically. The Sítio district has medieval fortifications and baroque sanctuaries that show different layers of the town's history.

Porto to Lisbon
Start with a relaxed breakfast, then explore Porto at your own pace depending on what interests you. Lello Bookstore is popular if you want to see the interior, and climbing Clérigos Tower gets you good views of the city. Bolhão Market is worth a walk through if you want to see local life and food vendors. You can wander the tiled streets and check out areas along the river. If wine interests you, there are winery visits available to taste Port wine. Local food worth trying includes the francesinha sandwich, which is a Porto specialty. By afternoon, you'll head back to Lisbon with time to reflect on what you've seen across Portugal's main cities and landscapes.
