Itinerary
- Day 1
Sintra - Cascais
Your pickup happens at Marques de Pombal Square at 8:30 AM, then you'll head out to Sintra to see the Palace of Pena, which sits up on the hills with that distinctive colorful architecture. From there, you'll walk through the town of Sintra itself, checking out the local shops and tearooms before moving on. The route takes you through the Colares wine region and continues to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe, so you get coastal views. After that, you'll stop in Cascais, a coastal town with its own character, before heading back to Lisbon for the evening.

Alcobaca - Nazare - Batalha - Fatima
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then head north to Obidos, a medieval town with white-walled buildings and decorative iron balconies that give it a distinctive look. Next you'll see the Alcobaca Monastery, which is a notable example of Portuguese gothic architecture and a UNESCO site. Lunch happens in Nazare, a fishing village with lots of color and activity. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Batalha Monastery Church and then make your way to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, where you can go through the Basilica and the Chapel of Apparitions, the main pilgrimage locations.

Evora
This day focuses on Evora, a UNESCO site that shows off different periods of Portuguese history and culture all in one place. You'll cross the Tagus river and travel through countryside with olive groves, cork oak trees, and vineyards before arriving there. Once in Evora, you'll see the Roman Temple, the Cathedral with its Romanesque-Gothic style, and St. Francis Church, which contains the Chapel of Bones. The University is also worth a look, and you'll have chances to visit the market, try local food, and do some wine tasting in the region while learning about the area's handicrafts and history.
