Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll land at Cairo International Airport where someone from the tour company meets you to handle visa and customs. After that, your driver takes you to your hotel. From there, the afternoon and evening are open for you to walk around Cairo on your own and get your bearings in the city.
- Day 2
Cairo
This morning you'll have a guide take you through Cairo's major historical sites. Start with the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx, then after lunch you'll head to the Egyptian Museum to see important pieces like the Ka-Aper Statue, Tutankhamun's Canes, and the Seneb Statue. By evening you're back at your hotel.

Cairo to Aswan
An early flight gets you to Aswan, and then you'll board your Nile River cruise boat. Once settled in your cabin, your guide takes you to see the High Dam and Temple of Philae. Later in the afternoon, you'll sail on a traditional felucca to Kitchener's Island and walk through the Aswan Botanical Gardens where they grow plants from the Far East, India, and Africa.

Nile River Cruise (Kom Ombo to Edfu)
The cruise ship heads south early in the day toward Kom Ombo. You'll explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, which was built for both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. From there the boat continues on to Edfu where you'll see the Temple of Edfu, a large and well-preserved ancient structure from centuries back.

Nile River Cruise to Luxor
As the cruise moves toward Luxor, you'll cross to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs and nobles were buried. After that you'll check out Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple and see the Colossi of Memnon, which are large stone figures left from ancient times.

Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh
Start the morning at Karnak Temples walking along the Avenue of Sphinxes while your guide explains the hieroglyphics and history. Next you'll visit the Temple of Luxor, which was once connected to Karnak through that same avenue of sphinxes. Later you fly from Luxor back to Cairo and then on to Sharm El Sheikh, where you're driven to your beachside resort.

Sharm El Sheikh
You have the full day at Sharm El Sheikh to enjoy the Red Sea. You can stay on the beach and relax, or try scuba diving, snorkeling, or a glass-bottom boat tour to see the coral and fish below. If you're interested in something different, Mount Sinai is nearby and holds religious significance for Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Landmarks/POIs Mount Sinai - Day 8
Sharm El Sheikh
This is another free day in Sharm El Sheikh. You can swim in the Red Sea, lie on the beach, or book more water activities depending on what sounds good to you at this point in the trip.

Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo
A private car picks you up and drives you to Sharm El Sheikh airport. From there you'll fly back to Cairo to catch your connecting flight and head home.
