- Day 1
Nairobi
Your small group discovery tour kicks off in Nairobi, your entry point to the African safari experience. The afternoon is yours to check into your hotel room and get ready for what's ahead. You'll have time to grab coffee, freshen up, and mentally prepare for the game drives starting tomorrow.
- Day 2
Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Head north from Nairobi toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, East Africa's largest rhino sanctuary. After you arrive and have lunch, there's time to settle into your accommodations before heading out on your first game drive to spot the Big 5. The day wraps up with a welcome barbeque dinner served right in the bush under the stars.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Early morning brings your first full game drive with Mount Kenya visible in the distance. You'll search for the Big 5 along with cheetah, zebra, and gazelle roaming the landscape. After returning for downtime and lunch, small groups of six head to Sweetwaters Chimp Sanctuary. Back at camp, there's an afternoon game drive followed by dinner.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Nakuru National Park
Leave Ol Pejeta behind and travel through the Kenyan highlands, an incredibly fertile agricultural region. The road takes you to Nyahururu Falls, a dramatic stop worth the detour. Later you'll reach Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive where giraffe, impala, flamingos, and countless birds fill your viewfinder.

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
The drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve covers some of Kenya's most varied terrain. Once you arrive at the lodge, lunch comes first, then you're out for an afternoon game drive. Dinners throughout your stay here feature fresh produce grown right in the lodge's onsite garden, so the food tastes particularly good.

- Day 6
Maasai Mara National Reserve
This morning starts before dawn for a game drive that includes an exclusive bush breakfast served out in the field. You'll look for elephant, rhino, giraffe, topi, and hyena among others. Back at camp there's downtime to rest, then another game drive gets underway in the afternoon.

You have a choice this morning: join an early game drive or rest at the lodge. After breakfast, a flight takes you to Amboseli National Park, famous for its clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro across the border. Following lunch at your new lodge, an afternoon game drive lets you start exploring the park.

Amboseli
Start early with a morning game drive through Amboseli where you'll likely spot elephants, Cape buffalo, zebra, and wild dogs roaming the plains. After returning to the lodge for lunch, head back out for an afternoon drive to catch more wildlife as they become active in the cooler hours. Later in the day, you'll visit a Maasai village to see how the community lives and learn about their traditions firsthand. As the sun drops lower, settle in for sundowner drinks while watching the light change across the landscape, then return to your lodge for dinner.

Amboseli to Great Rift Valley
Cross into Tanzania at the Namanga border checkpoint. Lunch takes place at one of Arusha's largest coffee plantations where you can see how they grow and process beans. During the drive to your lodge, you'll pass through colorful villages and varied landscapes. Your lodge sits on the rim of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, and the evening is open for relaxing before dinner.

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro
Lake Manyara National Park is small but packed with different habitats: groundwater forests, grassy plains, and an alkaline lake. Your morning game drive brings you face to face with baboons, giraffe, hippo, and more than 300 migratory bird species. After a BBQ lunch, you'll stop at a local primary school in Karatu to see village life, then continue on to your lodge perched above the Ngorongoro Crater.

- Day 11
Ngorongoro Crater
Drive down into Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing in this massive caldera. Black rhinoceros, lions, Cape buffalo, hippos, and elephants all live within these walls, giving you solid chances to see a real variety of animals. Around midday, you'll have a freshly-cooked bush BBQ lunch set up under Acacia trees right there in the crater, so you get to eat while surrounded by the landscape. After heading back to your lodge and having dinner, there's a traditional Maasai dance performance to cap off the day.

Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
The drive takes you to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's largest and most famous park covering roughly 5,700 square miles. The name translates to 'endless plains' in Maasai, and you'll understand why once you see it. After lunch at your tented camp, an afternoon game drive lets you spot big cats, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, gazelles, elands, and rare caracals.

Serengeti
Spend the morning and afternoon on game drives through the Serengeti, which is home to the wildebeest and zebra migration that happens annually. As your safari winds down, you'll have a farewell dinner served in the bush, giving you one last chance to reflect on your time in Africa while enjoying a meal surrounded by the landscape.

Serengeti to Stone Town, Zanzibar
One more game drive rounds out your Serengeti experience before a flight takes you to Stone Town via Arusha. Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with centuries of history visible in its architecture and streets. A Globus representative meets you and helps you settle into your oceanfront resort. Your room overlooks the Indian Ocean, and you'll spend the next three nights here.

Stone Town
A walking tour guides you through Stone Town's narrow, winding alleys. You'll see the Old Fort, Sultan's Palace, and the House of Wonders, each with its own story. The bustling markets are full of spices, textiles, and crafts worth exploring. After lunch at Archipelago Restaurant with ocean views, a spice tour takes you to a nearby plantation to learn how they grow and harvest spices. The evening back at the resort is relaxed and unhurried.

This entire day belongs to you at the resort. The property spreads across 30 acres of tropical gardens. You can swim in the warm Indian Ocean, try one of the onsite restaurants, or sign up for included watersports like paddleboarding or kayaking. It's a chance to do nothing or do everything, depending on what appeals to you.

Stone Town to Dar es Salaam
Say goodbye to your African adventure with a flight to Dar es Salaam. A day room has been arranged at the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel for your use before you head to the airport. Make sure your departing flight is scheduled for after 4 pm so you'll have time to rest and shower if you need to.
