Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Nairobi

    Your small group discovery tour kicks off in Nairobi, Kenya's capital and your entry point to safari country. You'll have time for a mid-afternoon check-in at your hotel, so the day is pretty relaxed. This gives you a chance to settle in, grab a meal, and prepare for the wildlife adventures ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    After leaving Nairobi, you'll drive north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of East Africa's largest rhino sanctuaries. Once you've had lunch and gotten settled at your accommodation, you'll head out on your first game drive hunting for the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. The day wraps up with a welcome barbeque dinner in the bush, and you'll eat overlooking the Ewaso Ng'iro River.

  3. Day 3

    Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    Start early with a morning game drive, and Mount Kenya provides a beautiful backdrop as you search for the Big 5 plus cheetah, zebra, gazelle, and possibly rare wild dogs. After returning to camp for some downtime and lunch, you'll visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary to see these primates up close. An afternoon game drive follows before dinner back at camp.

  4. Day 4

    Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Nakuru

    You'll leave Ol Pejeta and travel through Kenya's highlands, some of Africa's most fertile agricultural land. On the way, stop at Nyahururu Falls for the scenery, then continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. In the afternoon, you'll do a game drive there looking for giraffe, impala, flamingo, striped hyena, and various birds.

    Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

    This morning you're heading for Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most famous game area. It's part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem and has a strong year-round wildlife population, with numbers jumping dramatically during the Great Migration from August through early November. After lunch at your lodge, you'll get out on an afternoon game drive.

  6. Day 6

    Maasai Mara

    You'll wake up early for a morning game drive that includes an exclusive bush breakfast served in the field. Keep watch for elephant, rhino, giraffe, topi, hyena, and other wildlife. Back at camp by mid-morning, you'll have time to relax before heading out again for an afternoon game drive.

    After breakfast, you're flying to Amboseli National Park, known mainly for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak (locals call it 'Kili'). Once you've landed and had lunch at your lodge, you'll set out on an afternoon game drive to explore the park.

As the sun sets, you'll stop for sundowner drinks with Mount Kilimanjaro as your backdrop before heading back to the lodge for dinner.

    Amboseli to Arusha

    Arusha to Ngorongoro

    The morning takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, an ecologically diverse area featuring groundwater forests, grasslands, and an alkaline lake. The park has the world's largest concentration of baboons, so you'll likely spot plenty of them along with giraffe, hippo, and other animals. After a barbeque lunch, you'll visit a local primary school in Karatu, then drive to your lodge positioned on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

    Ngorongoro Crater

    You'll head down into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive through the world's largest unflooded caldera. This morning and afternoon you'll have solid chances to see black rhinos, lions, Cape buffalo, hippos, and elephants, plus various bird species scattered throughout the crater floor. Around midday you'll break for an exclusive bush BBQ lunch set up under Acacia trees, which gives you time to rest and take in the scenery. After heading back to camp and having dinner, there's a traditional Maasai dance performance that evening, showcasing the cultural heritage of this region known as the Cradle of Life.

Covering roughly 5,700 square miles, its name comes from the Maasai word 'siringit,' meaning 'endless plains.' After lunch at your tented camp, you'll head out on an afternoon game drive looking for big cats like lion, leopard, and cheetah, plus Nile crocodile, giraffe, gazelle, eland, and possibly rare caracals.

    Serengeti

    You'll spend the day in the Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives. By evening you'll wrap up your safari experience with a farewell dinner out in the bush, giving you a chance to reflect on what you've seen over the trip.

    the tour itself was fantastic. Steve and Gabriel our guides were above expectations. Darwood and our drivers were fantastic. the only issue was some of your lit was outdated. The transfer situation at Narobi, we met them outside the terminal. Conflicted with instructions. to bring a water bottle . water was available in the jeep but it was a five gallon jug . very minor issues but important

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
