Itinerary
- Day 1
Darwaza
You'll start early and drive to the Shavat-Dashoguz border crossing between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Getting through formalities at both checkpoints takes some time, and then you'll cross the 1.5 km neutral zone (a minibus transfer is available for 1 USD if you prefer). Bring your invitation letter because you can get your Turkmenistan visa right at the border. After that, your Turkmenistan driver and guide will pick you up and head out to Darwaza Gas Crater in the Karakym desert. You'll have dinner once you arrive and settle into yurts for the night.

- Day 2
Darwaza to Ashgabat
After breakfast at the yurt camp, you'll drive toward Ashgabat and pass by Mud Crater and Water Crater along the way. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, the sightseeing tour begins. During the day you'll see the National Museum, ancient Nissa fortress, Turkmenbashi Mosque, Independence Park, Neutrality Arch, Wedding Palace, Ferris Wheel, Makhtumkuli Park, and Akhal Teke Horse Stable. You'll head back to the hotel afterward with free time to rest before the night.

- Day 3
Ashgabat to Mary
You'll have breakfast at the hotel and then join the 10:00 sightseeing tour. The morning takes you to Old Nissa Fortress, Spiritual Mosque, National Memorial Complex, and Earthquake Memorials. After lunch, you'll head to Ahalteke Horse Hippodrome. From there, you'll drive to Mary, check into your hotel, and have free time before overnight.

- Day 4
Bukhara
Breakfast at the hotel kicks off your day, then the sightseeing tour visits the local Central Bazaar, Juma Mosque, and Russian-Orthodox Church. Next you'll drive to Ancient Merw and see all the sights in that area. Later in the day, you'll transfer to the BP Farab/Alat border crossing between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan via Turkmeabat. After crossing, your Uzbekistan driver will meet you and drive to Bukhara. You'll check into your hotel for the night.
