- BKBernhard· January 20th, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishThe trip was very interesting and well organized. You see as much of the country as possible in a short time. The tour guide Natascha and the driver Berdi were very friendly and competent. The hotel was good. There was good local food and international cuisine everywhere in the restaurants.Show moreStantrips commented on this reviewThank you for your kind review!Trip date: January 2025

Asked on August 22nd, 2024I would like to visit Turkmenistan (Ashgabat, Merv, and Darvaza) before meeting a friend in Khiva on October 19th or 20th. I see you have a group tour departing on the 12th. Does this tour end in Khiva on the 16th? If I wanted to go a few days later and have it be a private tour, how much would that cost?
- StantripsOperator•Written August 2024
The single private room option is for a private tour. If you choose to book the tour with a single private room, which costs 1770 USD, you will have the flexibility to select your arrival date. However, if you wish to conclude the tour near Khiva's border, you will need to spend the night at Darvaza and then travel to the border the following day. This will necessitate adjustments to the itinerary and price.

Asked on March 15th, 2024How do we get to Ashgabat Airport? Is it easiest to get there from Uzbekistan or another country? Are there gift shops or merchandise stores we can visit? Will you guys arrange the Visa's and letters of invitation if I booked this tour?
- StantripsOperator•Written March 2024
There is no flight from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan but it is easy to cross into Turkmenistan by land from Uzbekistan. You can also look over the link about the flight schedule to/from Ashgabat. Yes, there are many gift shops and merchandise stores to visit. We will provide you with the Letter of Invitation if you book. The LOI will help you to get your tourist visa right at the airport or border.
