If you're heading somewhere more remote like Nukus in Karakalpakstan domestic flights are your best bet. In the cities themselves you've got plenty of options with shared marshrutkas and regular taxis that won't break the bank.
What Are the Must-Try Local Dishes and Where's the Best Place to Find Them?
The food scene in Uzbekistan is this amazing blend of Central Asian flavors. You absolutely have to try plov it's their national dish made with rice lamb onions and carrots and it's incredible. Head to the Central Asian Plov Center in Tashkent or catch a cooking demo at National House Adras in Samarkand. Don't miss out on shurpa this hearty meat and vegetable soup or manti which are these delicious steamed dumplings.
