- Day 2
Accra to Kumasi
The drive from Accra to Kumasi takes about 5 to 6 hours, passing through different landscapes. Along the way, you'll stop at Bonwire Kente Weaving Village where artisans work traditional looms to create Kente cloth. Later, head to Ntonsu Adinkra Craft Village to see how local craftspeople stamp cloth using traditional techniques and learn what the symbols mean.

- Day 3
Kumasi to Mole National Park
You'll drive about 7 to 8 hours from Kumasi, heading north through the Ashanti highlands and into the savannah landscapes of Ghana's Northern Region. The road takes you through changing terrain, so settle in for a long day on the road. Once you arrive, head straight to Larabanga Mosque, a 15th-century structure built with mud and stick in the Sudanese-Sahelian style and the oldest mosque in Ghana. After checking out the mosque, walk over to the nearby Larabanga Mystic Stone, a massive sacred boulder that locals say has supernatural powers connected to various legends.

- Day 4
Mole National Park
Wake early and head out for safari at Mole National Park, Ghana's largest wildlife reserve. You can choose between a walking tour or a 4x4 game drive to look for elephants, antelope, baboons, warthogs, and buffalo. After the safari, visit Mognori Eco Village at the park's edge for a guided tour, time with locals, cultural performances, and optional canoe rides on the Mole River.

Mole National Park to Kumasi
The journey back to Kumasi from Mole National Park covers about 7 to 8 hours. Midway through, take a break at Kintampo Waterfalls, where you'll walk a forest trail, take photos, and swim in the pool below the falls before continuing on to Kumasi.

Kumasi
Spend the day exploring Ashanti royal history in Kumasi. Start at Manhyia Palace Museum, the former home of Ashanti kings showing royal artifacts and historic items. Then visit the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum to see Ashanti regalia, royal stools, kente cloth, and personal belongings. End at the Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, where a legendary high priest planted an immovable sword symbolizing Ashanti unity.

Kumasi to Cape Coast
Drive from Kumasi to Cape Coast for about 4 to 5 hours through rural Ghana. You'll visit Assin Manso Slave River Site, a historic memorial on the Slave Route where enslaved people stopped before being transported across the Atlantic. Walk through the site and see the river where captives were bathed. Later, tour Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO site that was a major slave trade port, including the dungeons and the 'Door of No Return.'

- Day 8
Cape Coast to Accra
Start with a visit to Elmina Castle, one of Africa's oldest European structures, a short drive from Cape Coast. Tour the dungeons and 'Door of No Return' to learn about its role in the transatlantic slave trade. Then head to Kakum National Park for a rainforest walk where you'll see monkeys and birds, and cross the famous canopy walkway high above the forest. Drive about 3 hours to Accra for an overnight stay.

Accra to Sokode/Togo Border
Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Museum to see items and documents from Ghana's first President and independence leader, including his mausoleum. Then go to the Arts and Craft Market to browse handmade crafts, textiles, wood carvings, and jewelry. Stop by Black Star Square, Accra's largest public space where major national celebrations happen. After, drive about 4 to 5 hours toward the Sokode, Togo border, taking in scenic views of Ghana's landscape.
