- Day 1
Anchorage
Meet your Tour Director between 3 pm and 7 pm at the hotel reception area. After that, the evening is yours to check out Anchorage on your own and grab dinner at one of the city's iconic restaurants.

- Day 2
Anchorage to Denali National Park
Head north into Alaska's wilderness on the historic Alaska Railroad in Deluxe Dome Service, traveling to Talkeetna and then Denali National Park. You'll watch wildlife and scenery from panoramic windows as the train moves through the state. By late afternoon your time is free for optional adventures.

Denali National Park
Venture deep into Denali National Park's 6 million acres with a Naturalist Driver Guide on the Tundra Wilderness tour. Look for grizzly bears, caribou, moose, Dall sheep, and wolves throughout the day. That evening, hear a private presentation by a Naturalist and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Denali National Park to Fairbanks
Spend your morning exploring more of Denali, then travel to Fairbanks. You'll have lunch at Prospector's Pizzeria and Alehouse to try local food. After that, head to Gold Daughters for a gold panning tour. The rest of your day is at your own pace.

Fairbanks
Board the sternwheeler Discovery for a cruise on the Chena River, with a stop at a recreated Chena Native Village to learn about Athabascan culture. Later, take a city tour that includes the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Museum and the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline.

Fairbanks to Dawson City
Drive over the Top of the World Highway into Canada's Yukon Territory, passing through Chicken village along the way. The drive offers nice scenery as you head south. By evening you'll have reservations at Diamond Tooth Gertie's for ragtime music, can-can girls, and an old-fashioned casino.

Dawson City
Visit the site of Klondike Gold Rush Claim #1, where the first gold strike happened. You'll hear a presentation by Parks Canada about the Gold Rush Era, then head to the Robert Service Interpretive Center to learn about the famous poet. The rest of your day is free with suggestions from your Tour Director.

Dawson City to Whitehorse
Follow the path that gold seekers took heading to the Klondike. You'll see the Five Finger Rapids on the Yukon River, where four islands split the river into five narrow channels. Later you'll reach Whitehorse, capital of the Yukon, with the evening free.

Whitehorse
Walk through Whitehorse with stops at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre to see Ice Age mammals, and check out the historic SS Klondike Riverboat from Gold Rush days. You'll head to Muktuk Adventures to meet huskies and their trainers. Dinner features a special Taste of the Yukon menu.

Whitehorse to Tok
Leave the Yukon and head back to Alaska through Kluane National Park, where Mount Logan reaches 19,625 feet as Canada's highest peak. You'll travel the Alaska Highway to Tok, known as the Dog Sled Capital of the World.

Tok to Valdez
Travel to Valdez, Alaska's northernmost ice-free port and home to the Alyeska Pipeline Terminal. The drive takes you through some of the world's highest coastal mountains, with views of Thompson Pass, Worthington Glacier, and Bridal Veil Falls. You'll visit the Valdez Museum to learn about Native culture, early explorers, the 1898 Gold Rush, and the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake. Your evening is free.

Valdez to Anchorage
Board a boat for a cruise on Prince William Sound. You'll get closer looks at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Terminal, massive glaciers, and sea life including eagles, whales, mountain goats, dolphins, and sea lions. The boat takes you along the 3-mile face of Columbia Glacier. Later you'll head to Anchorage for a farewell dinner.
