Itinerary
- Day 1
Istanbul to Cappadocia
Your hotel pickup happens early, typically between 4:00 and 5:00 AM, then you're driven to the airport for a flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir. Once you land, your guide meets you and you head into Northern Cappadocia. The day starts with Devrent Valley, where the rock formations look totally different from what you'd expect, and then you move on to Pasabag to see the famous fairy chimneys. Before lunch, you stop at a traditional pottery workshop in Avanos and watch artisans work. Afterward, you tour Göreme Open-Air Museum where the rock-cut churches are carved right into the landscape, and then climb up to Üçhisar Castle for views across the entire region before heading to your hotel for the evening.

- Day 2
Cappadocia to Istanbul
If you opt for the hot air balloon ride, you'll get picked up around 4:30 AM for an early sunrise flight over Cappadocia (weather dependent and costs extra). After breakfast back at your hotel, you explore Southern Cappadocia with hikes through Red Valley and Rose Valley to see the different colored rock formations. You visit Cavusin Village to walk through the historic settlement, and then tour either Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, one of the ancient underground cities carved beneath the surface. On the way back, you stop at Pigeon Valley where thousands of pigeon houses are carved into the rock faces. Later in the day you're transferred back to the airport for your flight returning to Istanbul.
