Rio de Janeiro to Iguazú Falls
Fly to Iguazú Falls to see the 275 waterfalls on the Brazil-Argentina border. Spend the half-day on the Brazilian side walking through the rainforest and getting views of the falls. There's also a bird sanctuary and helicopter tours available if you want to add those on.

Iguazú Falls

Arrive in Stanley, the Falkland Islands capital. The town has British history visible everywhere with red phone boxes and traditional pubs. Choose a historical tour or head out to see penguins at one of the world's largest rookeries with five species.

Strait of Magellan
Sail through the Strait of Magellan, the historic passage connecting the Atlantic and Pacific before the Panama Canal existed. Ferdinand Magellan first went through here in 1520, and you'll experience this narrow waterway from your ship.

Reach Ushuaia in Argentina, the world's southernmost town. Walk around the city, take a heritage train ride, or go on a 4WD safari into the wilderness depending on what appeals to you.

Punta Arenas
Your cruise pulls into Punta Arenas after traveling through the Cockburn and Beagle channels, and from there you've got several directions you can head. If you're up for hiking and scenery, Torres del Paine National Park offers glaciers and peaks to explore throughout the day. Prefer something on the water? Sea kayaking gets you out on the channels where you'll see the landscape from a different angle. There's also a heritage walking tour if you want to learn about the area's history and culture, or you can spend the afternoon on Magdalena Island looking for wildlife like penguins and sea lions. Pick whichever fits your energy level and interests.
