Bogota
Your guide and driver pick you up from the airport and head to your hotel in Zona T, the popular area packed with restaurants, bars, and shops. After you check in and rest a bit, the evening is yours to explore the nearby nightlife whenever you feel ready.

Bogota
Following breakfast, you'll head to Paloquemao market where vendors sell flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Then it's up Mount Monserrate by cable car to see the 17th-century church at the top and take in the panoramic views. Later you'll walk through La Candelaria's historical streets, check out Plaza de Bolivar with its colonial buildings, and visit both Museo de Botero and Museo del Oro.

Bogota to Villa de Leyva
After breakfast, you drive for 3 hours toward Villa de Leyva, a colonial town with cobbled lanes and whitewashed buildings. On the way there, you'll tour the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira, an underground Roman Catholic church built inside salt mine tunnels. You'll overnight at a boutique hotel in Villa de Leyva.

This morning you'll tour the Antonio Nariño House Museum, where the Colombian independence hero lived. Next is Museo del Carmen, a religious art museum featuring paintings, sculptures, and altars. Keep in mind this museum only opens on weekends.

Villa de Leyva to Barichara
After breakfast, you drive roughly 5 hours to Barichara, a Spanish colonial town that feels frozen in time. You'll walk the century-old cobbled streets lined with quaint houses and get a sense of what life was like in a different era.

Barichara and Guane
You'll spend time exploring Barichara, then head to nearby Guane, just 20 minutes away. A leisurely walk around the small town happens before you return to Barichara.

Barichara to Chicamocha National Park
After breakfast, you drive 1.5 hours to Chicamocha National Park along the world's second-largest canyon. You'll stop at Mercado Campesino, a traditional local market, to see authentic rural life. At the park, you hike to see fountains and waterfalls, take a cable car across the canyon, and visit Pueblito Santandereano, Guane Museum, the Monument to the Santanderean Spirit, and the Goat Park.

Bucaramanga to Santa Marta
After breakfast, your guide and driver transfer you to Bucaramanga airport for your flight to Santa Marta. Note that you'll transfer through Bogota since there's no direct flight. When you arrive in Santa Marta, your driver takes you to the hotel. After resting, you have free time to check out the city center or relax on nearby beaches.

Tayrona National Park
Your driver takes you to Tayrona National Park, known for wildlife, tropical rainforests, and beautiful beaches. You'll hike for 3 hours to Cabo San Juan del Guia, a beach surrounded by volcanic rocks. Along the way you trek through jungles, spot monkeys and birds, and swim or snorkel at Arrecifes and La Piscina beaches. Around 2 PM you confirm boat departures at Maritima Chez Boat, then take a boat back to Santa Marta and a taxi to your hotel.

Minca
You drive 45 minutes to Minca, a tiny mountain town near Santa Marta. At La Victoria, one of Colombia's oldest coffee farms from the 1890s, you'll do a coffee tasting and learn about coffee making. Then you hike through the forest to see Pozo Azul, Marinka Waterfall, and the Ear of the World Waterfall.

Santa Marta to Cartagena
After breakfast, you transfer to Cartagena in about 4 hours with gorgeous coastal landscapes along the way. Once you settle in at your hotel, you'll visit the Monastery of San Pedro Claver, a popular church for weddings. Then comes a walking tour of Old Cartagena's Walled City with its massive stone walls and centuries-old fortifications, followed by Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, an imposing triangular castle on a hill and UNESCO World Heritage site.
