- Day 1
Boston
You'll arrive in Boston and check into your downtown hotel. After settling in, take a walk over to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market if you're feeling up for it, or just relax before dinner. Your Travel Director will have everyone meet up for dinner later and you'll get to know the other travelers joining the trip.

Stockbridge - Saratoga Springs
This morning you'll follow the Freedom Trail through Boston, walking past Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, Trinity Church, and Copley Square to learn about the American Revolution. Then you'll head west to Stockbridge, where you can either see the Norman Rockwell Museum or take a guided tour of Chesterwood instead. By evening you'll be in Saratoga Spa State Park, traveling through the Berkshires to get there.

Weston - Woodstock - Stowe
After leaving Saratoga Springs, you'll drive through Vermont's countryside and stop at the Vermont Country Store in Weston to pick up local maple syrup and cheeses. Later you'll walk around Woodstock to see the Federal-style architecture, then visit Billings Farm & Museum to learn about sustainable dairy farming. Before heading to the Von Trapp Family Lodge, you'll stop at Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks to taste maple syrup and try sugar on snow.

Stowe
Start your day at a relaxed pace at the Von Trapp Family Lodge. You'll take a guided tour of Bread & Butter Farm, then have lunch prepared by Chef Tessa at Blossom Whole Food Kitchen. This afternoon you can explore the artisan boutiques and local shops in Stowe. For dinner, head back to the lodge for a three-course meal with Alpine flavors paired with German-style lagers from the Von Trapp Brewery.

Franconia Notch - North Conway
You'll travel through Franconia Notch into New Hampshire's White Mountains and take a scenic gondola ride at Loon Mountain Resort, which gives you views of New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York, and Canada if the weather cooperates. After that, you'll drive the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, a 34.5-mile stretch of Route 112 with natural fall foliage and no commercial development. You'll end the day in North Conway.

North Conway
Begin with a guided nature walk led by naturalist Chris Lewey, where you'll learn about New England's wildlife and plants. Then you'll travel through Crawford Notch with spectacular fall colors and stop at Silver Cascade Waterfall and Bretton Woods for photos of Mount Washington, which rises to 6,288 feet as the northeast's tallest peak. Later you'll hike to Diana's Baths to see cascading waterfalls in the White Mountain National Forest. The evening is yours to do as you please.

Portland, Maine
You'll cross from New Hampshire into Maine and follow the jagged coastline south. Stop at Fort Williams Park to see Portland Head Lighthouse, which has been operating since 1791. After that, the afternoon is free to explore Portland at your own pace. Later everyone gathers for a celebration dinner featuring fresh Maine lobster with your fellow travelers.

Kennebunkport - Boston
Head to Kennebunkport, a coastal town famous for sandy beaches and as the former summer home of President George H.W. Bush. You'll drive along Ocean Drive to see the Maine coastline, then return to Boston. Depending on your plans, you'll either head to Boston Logan International Airport if you're departing, or go back to the Hyatt Regency Boston if you're staying longer.
