Itinerary
- Day 1
Cappadocia
You'll start by walking through Devrent Valley to see the fairy chimneys, which have these really distinctive shapes carved by erosion over thousands of years. From there, head to Pasabagi to check out the multi-stem rock formations that you won't see anywhere else. Then you're driving to Avanos where you can watch potters work with clay using techniques they've passed down through generations. Grab lunch at a local spot, and after eating, spend time at Goreme Open Air Museum exploring the rock-cut churches and chapels built into the stone. Before heading back to your hotel around sunset, you'll have time to photograph the surrounding valleys with the light hitting the rocks just right.

Cappadocia
This day involves a hiking trek through Rose Valley, one of the more scenic areas in the region, and you'll walk past rock-cut churches carved right into the hillsides. Stop in Cavusin, an old Greek village with strong Christian history, and take some time to walk around. After lunch, head to Ortahisar Castle where you can explore storage caves inside the rock formations. The afternoon takes you to Kaymakli Underground City, a multi-level shelter where early Christians hid centuries ago. On the way back, you'll stop at Pigeon Valley for panoramic views, and if you're interested, there's an option to try some local Cappadocia wine before returning to your accommodation.
