Jaber· December 8th, 2024I recently joined the Hidden Gems Gravel Trip with MTB Morocco, and let me tell you—it was worth every penny! At first, the price seemed a bit steep, but once you hit the trails with this team, you’ll quickly understand the value. This isn’t your typical touristy tour. These guys are all about the real gravel biking experience. They don’t take you on detours to shops for commissions or try to upsell you at every corner. Instead, they focus entirely on creating an authentic, seamless adventure, showing you the true beauty of Morocco through trails you’d never find on your own. The routes were absolutely stunning—gravel paths winding through hidden valleys, remote villages, and jaw-dropping landscapes. The guides were professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about biking, which made every mile an incredible experience. The high-quality bikes and attention to detail made the trip not only smooth but unforgettable. What really stood out was how much I saved in terms of time and stress. With MTB Morocco, everything is planned perfectly, and their English-speaking team ensures you’re taken care of from start to finish. If you’re thinking of comparing this trip to something cheaper, don’t. You’re paying for expertise, authenticity, and an adventure that will stay with you forever. For any gravel enthusiast looking to explore Morocco’s hidden gems, this is the trip to book. I can’t recommend it enough!Show moreTrip date: December 2024- JJack· December 7th, 2024I had the pleasure of joining the 6-Day Gravel Bike Tour through the stunning Atlas Mountains in Morocco this October with a fantastic group of 12 people. To say it was an unforgettable experience would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, not just tourists. The team at Morocco Bike Experience truly goes above and beyond. Our local guides were incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the routes but also about the history, culture, and traditions of the region. They made every ride feel like an exploration of the hidden gems of Morocco, leading us through breathtaking landscapes, remote mountain villages, and past jaw-dropping scenery that made us feel like we were riding through a dream. The cycling routes themselves were absolutely amazing. We went over two passes above 2,000 meters, which offered spectacular views and thrilling descents. Each day brought new challenges, but with the support of the guides and the crew, we felt confident tackling the terrain. There were moments when I was in awe of the beauty around us, riding through ancient towns and small mountain communities that seemed untouched by time. It was a perfect balance of adventure and cultural immersion. One of the things I loved the most was how much the trip felt like a family affair. The guides, support team, and the group of riders all formed a tight-knit community. We shared stories, laughter, and even some minor bike repairs along the way! Every evening, we would gather together at our cozy accommodations, talk about the day’s ride, and enjoy delicious Moroccan meals. The warmth and hospitality of the people in the villages we passed through was heartwarming, and I’ll never forget the sense of connection we felt with both the land and its people. If you are looking for a truly unique and authentic cycling adventure, this is it. The roads were smooth and scenic, the challenge was exhilarating, and the memories we created together will last a lifetime. Morocco Bike Experience made sure that every detail was taken care of, from the moment we arrived in Marrakech to our last pedal stroke. Whether you're a seasoned rider or someone looking for an unforgettable biking holiday, I cannot recommend this tour enough. Thank you to the whole team for an amazing journey—I’ll definitely be back!Show more

Asked on September 28th, 2025We are a couple age 59 and 60. We are heading to Europe to bike tour late October. We are keen to do this trip but would be travelling from Spain and perhaps taking the Ferry to Tangier. Is taking your own bike an option? We have high spec carbon gravel bikes. Also can you advise on the best method to get to the start point of the trip - is there a suitable option by train or bus that is not to arduous.
MTB in MoroccoOperator•Written September 2025Yes, you're very welcome to bring your own bikes. We've had plenty of guests travel with high-spec bikes before, the main thing is to pack them carefully (a padded bag or box is best, especially for carbon frames). We always recommend carrying a small toolkit and a couple of spares just in case. As for getting to the start in Marrakech, the simplest option is to fly directly into Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). That way your bikes travel with you, and it avoids a long transfer. If you'd prefer to make the crossing from Spain by ferry into Tangier, that's certainly possible too. And from Tangier you can travel down to Marrakech by long-distance coach. The CTM and Supratours services are comfortable and will take boxed or bagged bikes as checked luggage.

Traveler•Written September 2025The problem is we are bike packing so packing the bikes up for travel is tricky. How much would a private transfer cost?
MTB in MoroccoOperator•Written September 2025We can organize the transfer from Tangier to Marrakech with 320 EUR for both of you. Please keep in mind that there is more expensive providers we tried to give you cheapest and best offer we can.

Traveler•Written September 2025Just a few more questions. I'll also look into some flights to Marrakesh and get back to you. Please could you advise how many people are currently on tour starting 15th Nov. Is the price as listed at this time of year? What do you recommend regarding returning through to Madrid from the end of the tour in terms of flights and or alternate places to stay for a couple of days that would be relaxing in Morocco.
MTB in MoroccoOperator•Written September 2025At the moment you are the only ones how join us at this date so it's completely private tour with no additional cost and we think by this time they might not be any other members who wants to join but we will let you updated. Yes the same prices normally this time of year is high season in morocco in biking tours industry. We could suggest a short tour around two or three days with night in desert camp.

Traveler•Written October 2025We are really only interested in a longer period of biking as was advertised on the gravel ride - 5 days minimum 100 kms per day etc. We are happy to stay on following which we would be happy to have a night in the desert and possibly a couple of nights at another area. Is it possible for you to contact me on WhatsApp? We would be happy to need accommodation and a backup driver for safety reasons but are happy to self navigate. Is this an option?
MTB in MoroccoOperator•Written October 2025About the distance most of the days are minimum 100Km and of course. We could customize any of them if needed. We could move forward once we confirm here at Tourradar we can move to the next step and setup the rest. Other than that we are not allowed to move outside of the platform.

Traveler•Written October 2025We have from the 14th to the 25th available to travel to Morocco. We are interested in seeing the high Atlas mountains and therefore would be keen to do the hidden gyms tour. Following that though we had anticipated possibly self guided bike packing from Fez to Tangier. We would then fly out to Madrid from there. If we did your trip we are happy with 100 km per day but would not do the 160 and we would be keen to get your insight into how we might travel the rest of our journey
MTB in MoroccoOperator•Written October 2025Our Hidden Gems of the High Atlas tour is a great way to experience the mountains, and we can adapt the daily distances to your preference of around 100 km per day. You'll also have the reassurance of a support vehicle following throughout the tour. For the second part of your trip, your idea of bikepacking from Fez to Tangier, we'd be happy to share advice on possible routes, highlights along the way, and practical logistics (roads, accommodations, train options if you'd like to shorten a section, etc.).
