Kathmandu to Salleri
Leave Kathmandu early and drive through the hills toward Salleri. The journey takes 8 to 10 hours, so you'll see plenty of Nepal's landscape along the way. Once you arrive, you'll settle in for the night and get ready to start trekking tomorrow.

Salleri to Phakding
Start the day driving from Salleri to Surke, which takes about 6 to 7 hours. After that, you'll transition to trekking toward Phakding, adding another 3 to 4 hours. The trek here is relatively straightforward, moving through small Sherpa villages, forests, and some nice mountain views before you rest in Phakding.

Landmarks Dudh Koshi River - Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Trek from Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River for 6 to 7 hours, moving through pine forests and crossing several suspension bridges. As you gain elevation, Everest and other peaks come into view. By the end of the day, you'll reach Namche Bazaar, the main hub for this region, known for its busy market and Sherpa community. You'll stay overnight here.

Namche Bazaar Acclimatization
This is a rest day in Namche Bazaar to help your body adjust to the altitude and prevent sickness. You have options for how to spend it: hike up to the Everest View Hotel for views of Everest and the surrounding peaks, or head to nearby Khumjung Village to learn about Sherpa traditions and how locals live in this region.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, spending 5 to 6 hours moving through thick forests and crossing some rivers. The main draw here is Tengboche Monastery, a quiet location with great views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other mountains around you. You'll stay overnight and take in the peaceful setting.

Tengboche to Dingboche
Head out from Tengboche, trekking through alpine forests and past traditional Sherpa villages over 5 to 6 hours. The trail becomes more rough as you climb, and the mountain views get more dramatic. You'll end up in Dingboche, a small village that serves as a good spot for acclimatization. Overnight stay here.

Dingboche Acclimatization
Another rest day, this time in Dingboche for acclimatization. You can hike up to Nagarjun Hill, which sits at 5,100 meters, to see panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Everest. This activity helps your body adjust to the altitude while you get those views rather than just resting in town.

Dingboche to Lobuche
Trek from Dingboche toward Lobuche, climbing higher into the Khumbu Valley over 5 to 6 hours. The terrain shifts to barren, rocky ground with fewer trees around. You'll pass memorials for climbers who've died on Everest, which brings the reality of the mountain into focus. It's a harder day and prepares you for what's coming. Overnight in Lobuche.

Landmarks Khumbu Valley - Day 9
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp and Gorak Shep
Start early for the trek to Everest Base Camp, which takes 7 to 8 hours. You'll trek across rocky moraine from the Khumbu Glacier, and the final part to Base Camp is the most thrilling stretch, bringing you to the foot of the world's highest peak. After spending time there taking it in, you'll head back down to Gorak Shep to sleep.

Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche
Wake early and hike to Kala Patthar, which takes 7 to 8 hours total including the hike back down. This spot offers one of the best views of Everest at sunrise and shows off the Himalayas from a high vantage point. After spending time at the top, you'll descend to Pheriche, a lower village where you can recover at a better altitude.

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Head back down toward Namche Bazaar, hiking through the same villages you passed before and crossing several suspension bridges over 6 to 7 hours. The descent is easier on your legs than going up, though still takes time. You'll arrive in Namche Bazaar with a chance to rest and think back on the trek.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
The last day of trekking takes you from Namche Bazaar back to Lukla in 6 to 7 hours. You'll retrace the path with Himalayan views around you the whole way. Reaching Lukla gives you time to relax before heading out tomorrow.

Lukla to Phaplu
Start with a short trek from Lukla to Surke, taking just 1.5 to 2 hours. Then switch to a jeep ride through mountain roads heading to Phaplu, which takes 5 to 6 hours. After the combination of walking and driving, you'll rest overnight in Phaplu.

Phaplu to Kathmandu
The final day brings a long drive back to Kathmandu covering 8 to 9 hours. You'll travel through rural areas, cross rivers and mountain passes, and arrive in Kathmandu by evening. This marks the end of the Everest trek and your return to the city.
