- SScott· August 8th, 2020I chose Nepal Hiking Team because of a recommendation of it by one of my friends and so decided to check it out. Upon looking into their website, I found lots of many different packages available. But I think the most prominent feature that stood out for me regarding this is the flexibility of the itinerary. There was a slight change of plan for me during my trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, and I was sort of worried that I would not be able to enjoy the trek to the fullest extent and might miss some of the really lovely places, but the people at Nepal Hiking Team were all so nice and understanding, they arranged everything and I still had the most wonderful of time without having to miss anything along my trek. Ganga was my guide along the trek, and he was a real nice person to be around. He helped me a lot during the trek, but most of all, he kept me good company. I think I made a nice friend on the trek there with Ganga, because we just seemed to be on the same page immediately when we met! He was an exceptional guide and made the whole trekking journey quite memorable for me and I am very appreciative of that. You know how they say that it’s the people who sort of can make or break the experience? Yeah, well, Ganga definitely made the experience for me, such an awesome person to be around. The trek was such bliss with him, and will forever be remembered by me!Show moreTrip date: November 2019
- PHPravina· December 21st, 2019I was a solo traveller and totally enjoyed this tour organised by Nepal Hiking team. From the very start of my trip I was impressed with the attention of my guide Ganesh, he made sure all arrangements were in place and always communicated with me the plan and what to expect. Ganesh always went the extra mile to enjoy my comfort was a priority and was always around to help or lift my spirits when the trek got challenging for me. I thoroughly enjoyed Ganesh songs entertainment and chat about life in general. For me this trek was an experience never to forget, I enjoyed every moment and will always remember the views and special connection with the amazing Nepalese culture and people. Annurpurna trek with poon hill will firmly remain a cherished memory, an experience and challenge never to forget, the views breathtaking and every drop of sweat totally worth the views. Don't think about doing this trek, book it, experience it & love it as much as I have.Show moreNepal Hiking Team commented on this reviewThank you for your wonderful review Pravina. - TSTalida· November 10th, 2019I recently returned from hiking to Annapurna Base Camp and I am so thankful to Nepal Hiking Team, especially my wonderful guide Narayan Dhamala, the president Ganga, and my porter Bhim, for making this journey special and unforgettable. A couple months ago I decided to take a solo trip to Nepal and hike in the amazing Himalayas. I started looking for a trekking company and after carefully reading the reviews and feedback of several agencies, I opted for Nepal Hiking Team. The fact that they are rated #1 and they are also a local company made me feel good about my decision, and this was further reinforced once I started communicating with Ganga about my travel plans. He was always available to answer any questions I had. The trek to ABC was the best trekking experience I've had and I'm very grateful for Narayan, who not only was an experienced and extremely knowledgeable guide with great communication skills, but he was a kind, funny, and positive person. I learned so much about the Nepalese culture, the villages we stayed in, the Annapurna Sanctuary, and that made the trek even more enjoyable. When we would arrive at the teahouse we would stay for the night, I always had a comfortable room to stay in. The company has a very good reputation with the owners of the teahouses and this is very important, especially as you get closer to the base camp and there aren't enough rooms for everyone. At base camp I met a few people who had to sleep in tents or sheds, while myself and two other private groups with NHT, had a place to sleep in the teahouse rooms. Narayan went above and beyond to ensure my well being, making sure that I am eating well and that I am staying hydrated. We kept a consistent schedule and fortunately I didn't have any altitude sickness or any other health issues. I am already thinking about my next trek in Nepal and without a doubt I will want to organize it with Nepal Hiking Team again. From the moment I arrived at the Kathmandu airport until the day I was dropped off, everything was coordinated so professionally and flawlessly by Ganga and his team. Nepal Hiking Team goes the extra mile and they truly make their clients' comfort and well being the top priority. I encourage everyone who wants to trek in Nepal to hire this excellent local trekking company.Show moreTrip date: October 2019

- MFMasson· November 18th, 2018The tour was tough but enjoyable. Shared accommodation was necessary on more nights than I expected but fortunately our group all got along very well. Raj was an excellent guide and made sure that no one fell behind or felt left out. I felt that better information could have been given about meeting arrangements for the pre tour briefing and that a more formal introduction process for trekkers meeting for the first time would have added value. Notwithstanding this the tour was a very happy experience.Show moreTrip date: October 2018
- Anonymous· May 16th, 2018When it comes to outdoor trekking, I always aim for authenticity and enjoyment. I think it is very important to be able to at least experience something different than what I am used to when I decide to travel thousands of miles away from the comfort of my own home and the familiarity I grew up in. That is why, when I decided to go for trekking in Nepal- I chose the famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Nepal Hiking Team. Right off from the start, all of the positive reviews that the agency gets are well-deserved, as the moment I dropped off at the airport; Mr. Ganga was there to greet me. He helped me to get to my hotel, assured me of the trek, and made sure that I was having a good time. The passionate nature of the agency's staffs really does shines through in their work, as they made sure that I was enjoying myself. For a solo traveler such as myself- I was glad that Nepal Hiking Team also arranged for a group trek for me, where I met many other fellow trekkers from all parts of the world. The trek was just perfect! The weather was really nice, as I trekked in September, and the mountains were just extraordinary! My favorite part of the trip would definitely be the trek to Poon Hill, when I went there with my guide Bhim- who is just the most amazing guide I could have asked for. He was friendly and comforting, and it reassured me that I did not have to worry about anything as Bhim made sure all of the things were taken care of, like the accommodations and the meals. He was my best companion through the trek, and made the trip even more enjoyable with his vast knowledge about the culture and the villages that we passed along the way. He let me trek on my own pacing, and helped me with the journey by being patient and helpful every step of the way. What's more is that I was always in contact with Mr. Ganga at the office. If I have had any problems, I could have called him at any time and he would have arranged for the solution in a quick and easy way. Fortunately, I had no problems at all! I really enjoyed the journey, and I cannot recommend Nepal Hiking Team enough. They really are the best agency that takes care of their customers. They are passionate about the travel field and their work shines in the care that they provide. I am sure that I will be visiting Nepal again in the future, as my first time travelling to the country made me fall in love with its beauty and its people, and I will make sure that I will go with Nepal Hiking Team again.Show moreTrip date: March 2018

- Alison· November 27th, 2017The Annapurna Base Camp trek is very scenic and it was so good to be up in those spectacular mountains. I had a great time on the trek with Nepal Hiking Team. Our guide Chuda and assistant guide/porter Thakal were wonderful. They both looked after us very well and were friendly and fun to be around. They shared their knowledge of their country with us, teaching us some Nepalese and answering all our questions about the country and it's culture. They guys in the office were also very helpful, answering my questions before I left, rearranging things for me when my flight into Nepal was delayed and making some other arrangements for me after the trek.Show moreTrip date: November 2017

Sleeping is mandatory and included in the trip package. Hiking poles are optional; you can buy or rent them in Kathmandu. It is very cheap to buy in Nepal. like USD 10 for a pair to buy.

Asked on August 2nd, 2022Do you have experience with travellers with drones? Are there difficulties to be expected?
- Nepal Hiking TeamOperator•Written August 2022
As for traveling with Drone, it is challenging to make a permit for drones. There are lots of formalities to get drone permits which is almost impossible. We tried to get drone permits and never succeed. However, you may carry a drone without permits and use it where there is no drone zone. There is no check post in the Annapurna region. Just you don't carry openly, put on big luggage.
