Arrival
Your Italian adventure kicks off today. You'll arrive and head to Naples to start exploring southern Italy, with the Amalfi Coast and Puglia region on your itinerary ahead.

Naples
You'll arrive in Naples at your own pace and have the full day to explore this vibrant city on your terms. Walk through volcanic landscapes, check out medieval architecture, and wander the Grecian lanes. Later, toast to your trip over dinner with views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius.

Naples
Start with a local guide exploring Naples' UNESCO-listed historic city center and underground ancient ruins. You'll have the afternoon free to visit the National Archeological Museum or just wander around. By evening, you'll head to a private concert from the Napulitanata social enterprise celebrating Italian heritage.

Naples
This is your free day in Naples to explore independently. If you want more activity, there's an optional excursion to the Isle of Capri by fast ferry where you'll visit the Piazzetta, drive to Anacapri for local food and wine, then sail back in the afternoon.

Herculaneum to Minori
A local guide will walk you through the Herculaneum archaeological site at Mt. Vesuvius's base. You'll visit a pasta factory for light lunch and watch how pasta gets made. Then head to coastal Minori for the sunset, where you'll stay the next three nights.

Travel by boat to Amalfi and explore the cobblestone piazzas and mosaicked cathedral. From there, you'll sail past dramatic cliffsides and pastel houses to Positano for a free afternoon of shopping or beach time before the ferry returns you to Minori.

Minori
Start by learning about sfusato lemons in a garden and sample limoncello. Next, you'll hike the ancient Path of Lemons, a rugged coastal route connecting Minori and Maiori, then return by boat. In the afternoon, relax in Minori or head up to Ravello's Villa Rufolo to see the gardens and views.

Matera

Your afternoon is yours to explore further, visiting the Palombaro Lungo cistern or hiking through countryside with prehistoric caves and medieval rock churches.

Otranto

Your guide will walk you through the labyrinth of these unique houses, and you'll stay in one for the next two nights.
