What people love about Italy Tours from Naples
- AMALFI & TUSCANY - 7DAYS/6NIGHTS
My wife and I did the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany 7 days/6 nights tour and had a magnificent time. This included Pompeii archeological visit, 3 nights in Sorrento where we toured the island of Capri, the towns on the Amalfi coast and spent our evenings in downtown Sorrento, After that we had great walking tours of Napoli, Our tour leader for the first half, Carlo, was fantastic (and was always willing to answer my questions about how to say certain things in Italian as I had been studying for months). We then picked up our next tour leader Ned in Florence. Ned provided a great walking tour in Florence, then led us to the second part of the vacation in Tuscany. The second half of the trip was more self-guided and just knowing when to hit the next shuttle. Altogether, this was a nice blend of crazy/gogogo and relaxation. Our accommodations in Florence and Tuscany were top notch (both with good, free breakfast). If there was a drawback, it was probably the campground in Sorrento. it wasn't bad (The AC and shower in the tiny cabins were both excellent), but was a little more rustic than we had in mind. we were lucky that as a couple we got to stay together while other singles were paired together without really getting to know one another quite yet. If you're ok for that type of adventure, then it's great, but could be awkward. Full disclosure, we were a bit older than most of the group too. Also, we heard so much about the "private beach" at the campground, but it closed early and we never really got to enjoy it after long days of walking in the sun). Also, there seemed to be a little miscommunication early on about what was included and what was "extra" during the tour as different groups did different things. But this was all worked out quickly and did not create any undue stress. I think it would also be nice if the tour pick up and drop offs in Florence were at the train station when everyone can more easily arrange their travel. In general, this tour had amazing scenery, wine and food and we have memories for a lifetime. I would recommend this company for sure and will check them out again if we get to go back someday.
- Local Living Italy—Sorrento
We enjoyed the range of activities. The tour of Naples had a local guide who provided knowledge specific to the history and people. The tour of Pompei also had a guide with detailed knowledge. Anna was our guide for the rest of the week. It was a full programme but wasn't too much. There were highlights one of which was Capri. Another was The Walk of the Gods. Breakfast was a great gathering occasion to talk amongst ourselves, discuss the days options and swap information gathered about the day. Dinner was always good food and good times enjoyed along the length of the table. Our room and bathroom was very comfortable with effective aircon and space to spread out. Luigi gave us a tour of the lemon farm and explained the methods and routines. He also demonstrated how to make limoncello. The organisation of the accommodation was faultless with, in my experience, any request willingly provided. The property had an efficient method for us to track our additional costs (wine and laundry) for which we paid for at the end. It was a friendly family run business. Everybody seemed to enjoy each other. The views from this property are tremendous especially from the terrace. It is quiet and peaceful, a short distance from Sorrento. Additional transport was available on our free day when we went in different directions and there's a bus stop at the end of the driveway. Anna provided local knowledge of Sorrento, for example good restaurants for lunch and where to swim. My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. There was a great range of ages. English was the first language for us all. Anna's and the family"s knowledge of English was very good.

We have not yet gone on the Tour however it is appropriate to recognise Omar from Soleto travel who has been informative , efficient and has worked to make our trip even better ... before we even depart.
