You'll fly into Tokyo and head straight to your hotel. A driver meets you at the airport and handles the transfer by private car, so the arrival process stays hassle-free and straightforward.

Tokyo Nightlife Districts
Tonight you'll check out Tokyo's nightlife scene starting with Omoide Yokocho near Shinjuku Station, where about 60 bars and restaurants pack into this nostalgic district serving broiled offal and chicken skewers. From there, you'll walk under the Kabukicho Ichibangai Arch into the heart of Tokyo's adult-oriented entertainment hub with its izakayas and snack bars. After that, you'll head to Golden Gai to see the old-school 1950s atmosphere that still lingers from its former red-light district days.

Hakone Day Tour
You'll take a day trip to Hakone, where you'll board the Hakone Pirate Ship across Lake Ashino to catch views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding landscape. Next, the Hakone Ropeway takes you up to Owakudani, a volcanic crater formed 4,000 years ago where white smoke and sulfur still rise from the ground. You can pick up black jade stones, the legendary variety people believe adds 7 years to your life when eaten. Later, you'll visit the Mishima Skywalk, a 400-meter suspension bridge offering more Mt. Fuji views and looks out toward Suruga Bay.

- Day 4
Mt. Fuji Natural Attractions Tour
You'll spend the day exploring natural spots around Mt. Fuji, starting at West Lake to see traditional thick-thatched roof cottages with Mt. Fuji visible in the distance. Then you'll head to Oshino Hakkai, eight springs clustered together where the water comes from hardened lava and stays clear enough to drink. You'll check out the Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave, formed over 1150 years ago by lava flow and open year-round. Before the day ends, you'll get to Arakurayama Sengen Park for one of the region's most famous Mt. Fuji views, complete with a five-story pagoda.

Suwa Lake and Jigokudani Monkey Park
You'll spend time at Suwa Lake, Nagano Prefecture's largest lake, where you can walk, cycle, or jog along the shores (spring brings cherry blossoms, and summer features fireworks on the water). Later you'll travel to Jigokudani Monkey Park to see wild Japanese Macaques bathing in natural hot springs in their forest habitat near Shibu and Yudanaka. It's a chance to watch these snow monkeys in their natural environment.

Zenkoji and Matsumoto Castle

Kanazawa to Kyoto via Bullet Train
You'll explore Kanazawa, where the Maeda Clan held power during the Edo Period as the second most powerful feudal clan. The city became a major cultural center rivaling Kyoto and Tokyo. You'll tour Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen gardens, Higashi Chaya District, and the Nagamachi Samurai area where traditional buildings sit alongside modern touches. Later, you'll catch the bullet train to Tsuruga (45 minutes), change trains, and continue to Kyoto (about 52 minutes after a brief wait).

Fushimi Inari, Uji, and Nara
You'll start at Fushimi Inari Taisha, the main shrine for about 30,000 Inari shrines across the country with roots going back to the 8th century. Then you'll head to Uji, known for high-quality tea and one of Japan's earliest green tea cultivation spots. After that, you'll go to Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple. The park has over 1,200 roaming deer that have become iconic to the area and its identity.

Miyajima and Return to Osaka via Bullet Train
You'll travel to Miyajima by bullet train with a tour guide. This island destination has wild deer roaming around that have grown accustomed to people (though unlike Nara, feeding them here isn't allowed). You'll visit Itsukushima Shrine, the centuries-old shrine that gave the island its name and fame, particularly for its iconic 'floating' torii gate. After exploring, you'll return to Osaka by bullet train.
