- Megan· June 27th, 2025Absolutely Incredible Tour – but Jordan really made it an unforgettable holiday! I’ve been on a lot of different tours with different tour companies- but this tour of Japan was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The itinerary covered all the major areas – from the buzzing cities to the peaceful countryside – and everything was so incredibly well organised. Every day ran like clockwork, yet still allowed for solo time to recharge, as well as lots of fun. But the real highlight, without a doubt, was our tour guide - Jordan! He truly made the trip what it was. I’m 42, and most of the group (including Jordan) were in their early to mid-20s, but I never once felt out of place. Jordan was incredibly welcoming, super patient, funny, and helpful. He made everyone feel included, and he struck the perfect balance between being professional and just a really good time to be around. He went above and beyond every single day – whether it was translating, providing interesting information and history of the places we visiting, giving amazing food recs, or just having a chat and a laugh. He kept us informed at every stage of the tour, so we never felt lost or confused with what was coming up next, or what our options were, (even when the weather didn’t want to be as accommodating as Jordan was)! If you’re considering doing this tour – do it, and if you’re lucky enough to have Jordan as your guide, you’re in for something truly unforgettable.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for such a wonderful review Megan! - PPietro· June 27th, 2025Here it comes the end of our 10 unforgettable days in Japan with the Best Guide ever. I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life..!! The biggest thank you goes to Jordan, our amazing tour operator and guide, who made it possible. From the moment the trip started, Jordan’s warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge of Japan’s culture, history, and hidden gems stood out. He didn’t just show us only the typical tourist spots, but he brought us into the heart of Japan, from quiet temples and bustling markets to off the beaten path spots that I’d never have found on my own. What made he truly exceptional was his attention to detail and his ability to tailor the experience to the group’s interests, from helping us navigate cultural etiquette, or translating menus and street signs, he was always one step ahead. And most importantily, he did it all with a sense of humor, kindness, and genuine passion for what he does. Highly, highly recommend.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review Pietro! We're delighted to hear you had an unforgettable time in Japan with us. - KEKelly· June 25th, 2025This was a great tour. A bit jam- packed but perfect for active people who love to be out all day sightseeing. There is quite a bit of walking involved, easily 20-30 000 steps a day. I appreciated the amount of free time we got, we would get to a place and always have about an hour of free time for shopping etc there which was nice. Andrew was a very considerate tour guide, always happy to answer questions, very friendly, and made me feel capable to navigate Japan by myself the rest of my trip after the tour ended.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review Kelly! It's great to hear that you had the freedom to explore all of the sights while getting all of your steps in for the day. Andrew will be thrilled to hear all of your kind words. We can't wait to see you on another adventure.Trip date: June 2025

Asked on June 4th, 2025We are a family that really like the sound of your 10 day classic tour of Japan. But we're not within your age recommendations. The youngest is 16. Oldest 54. I'm 50 & young at heart. Is there any flexibility to accommodate us?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
At the moment, our tours are for guests who are 18 years and older. We understand how exciting it is to want to explore the world, and while we'd love to welcome everyone, we do need to stick to this minimum age for insurance and safety reasons. We hope to see you on an adventure with us in the future once you've hit that milestone birthday!

Asked on June 3rd, 2025Am I disqualified from this trip?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
We've set our age range to 18 to 59 years with the aim of bringing together travelers who share similar energy levels, comfort zones, and expectations. Our tours tend to attract guests within this range, and we've found this helps create a really special group dynamic and atmosphere.

Asked on May 21st, 2025I'm a female solo traveler, but am 42 yo- is there any possibility of joining the 18-39 tour group departing on 19 June as it suits my travel wants and dates perfectly!
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
We do see most guests on tour be between the age of 18-39, however as long as you are happy with that and feel comfortable joining the group, then we would absolute love to have you on board!

Traveler•Written May 2025I know I'll probably be the oldest person on the tour, but hopefully only be a few years & I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. Could I ask a couple more questions: 1) I can see that the 23 June 2025 departure is sold out - but is there any possibility of adding one more person (me) to this tour? 2) If the answer is no to qu. 1 - could I please check how many people are already booked on the tour departing on the 19 June 2025?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
We already have 7 lovely travellers booked for your tour, including one from Australia, plus others from the USA, Italy, and Norway. One guest is born in 1992, and the rest are born after 2000, a great mix of ages and nationalities, which always makes for an awesome group vibe!

Asked on May 15th, 2025All meals can be included in this itinerary? Do you have similar or other itinerary which includes meals?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
This tour includes a total of 8 meals (4 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 3 dinners). We don't include all meals so you have the flexibility to try different local foods and explore on your own outside the itinerary. Our guide will also be more than happy to recommend places based on what you're after! It's a great way to experience more of the local culture through its cuisine.

Asked on May 8th, 2025Are all your tours only on Multi Share basis? Is there an option for single accomodation for solo traveler?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
For our Japan tours, we don't offer single room upgrades. This is mainly because hotel rooms in Japan can be quite costly and including single rooms would significantly raise the overall price of the trip. Instead, we've chosen to focus on unique and culturally immersive accommodations like temple stays and pod-style dorms. These not only give you an authentic experience of Japanese living, but also help keep the tour more affordable and community-oriented. We often hear from solo travellers that the shared setup actually enhanced their journey, allowing them to build great connections and friendships along the way. For most of our other destinations, we do offer single room upgrades if you'd prefer your own space, with the exception of our Philippines Expedition and Costa Rica tours. Similar to Japan, these two tours include more rustic, off-the-beaten-path experiences, and keeping them multi-share helps make the overall trip more budget-friendly while still delivering something unique and memorable.

Asked on April 22nd, 2025Are there any boys signed up for the trip? My son is 21 years old and does not want to be the only boy in the group, and we would like to book another night in Osaka at the end.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
We have tailored this tour in a way that gives you everything you could possibly need whilst visiting this epic country! If so please do let me know and I can take a look at the current guests who have already booked on this specific departure date. Unfortunately, we do not offer post night accommodation, however we are able to provide you with the name of the last accommodation so you are able to book post night independently.

We do not include airport transfers in our tour due to logistical reasons on the ground, however you will be provided with detailed instructions on how to get from the airport to the first accommodation/meeting point using Japans public transport system. Instructions will be provided for both Haneda and Narita airport and train tickets can be purchased from English speaking kiosks upon arrival.

Traveler•Written April 2025Can she be pickup from airport and drop off?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
Pre tour accommodation can be added at the checkout and will be at the same hotel that we use for the first night on tour, allowing your daughter to settle in and get some rest before she starts her action packed tour! Airport transfers are unavailable for this tour due to logistical reasons on the ground, however Japans public transport is some of the best in the world, and detailed instructions on how to get from your chosen airport to the first accommodation will be sent out on the welcome pack 30 days prior to the tour starting.
