- MSMaddyson· August 24th, 2025The Japan Classic 10-Day tour with One Life Adventure was such an easy and well organised tour. The itinerary had the perfect mix of culture, sightseeing, food and free time. Highlights for me were the sushi-making class, temple stay and the kendo class! The days were full but never felt rushed, it was a great way to experience Japan without the fear of language barriers.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review Maddyson! Asked on August 5th, 2025I'd like to know if the price of the tour changes if I'm going alone
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025
the price listed is per person, so it stays the same whether you're travelling solo, and would simply be multiplied by two if you're booking for two people. Many of our guests actually join solo, so you'll be in great company!

Asked on August 3rd, 2025do you still do pirate ship in hakone and kendo class?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
We've recently updated our age policy, our tours are now open to guests between 18 and 59 years old. We set age guidelines to help ensure the best possible experience for everyone.

Traveler•Written August 2025my husband is 59, but 60 next month. for his big birthday i would like to take him to Japan in April/May for sakura so he will be just few months over 59.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025
As for the pirate ship in Hakone, we usually go there (around 90% of the time), so chances are good. But since it's not officially part of the itinerary, we can't guarantee it every time, as it depends on things like weather and seasonal conditions. The kendo class, however, is still part of the tour and definitely something to look forward to!

Asked on July 21st, 2025I would like to know if there is the option to take private room (double) with bathroom and the relevant cost.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
We don't offer single room upgrades in Japan, one reason is the cost of standard hotel rooms in Japan not being budget friendly and would make the tour significantly more money. Furthermore, we prefer to include some really cool unique accommodation experiences, i.e the temple stays and pods, rather than standard single hotel rooms, so you can make your time in Japan as memorable as possible, feeling like you've really immersed yourself into the culture and lifestyle of the locals.

Traveler•Written July 2025I want just to clarify if in the same room will stay more people than us (we are a couple). We do not have any issue to have common facilities, but we prefer to have our own room.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
So the room layout will be as follows: Day 1 - Twin-share, Day 2 - Twin-share, Day 3 - Twin-share, Day 4 - Twin-share, Day 5 - Multi-share (unique temple stay), Day 6 - Pod-style per person in multi-share dorms, Day 7 - Pod-style per person in multi-share dorms, Day 8 - Pod-style per person in multi-share dorms, Day 9 - Twin-share. All the twin-share accommodations shall be shared with just you and your partner.

Asked on July 7th, 2025Is that a suggestion due to the activities involved or do you not accept people older than that in your tours?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
We've recently updated our age policy, our tours are now open to guests between 18 and 59 years old. We set age guidelines to help ensure the best possible experience for everyone. Our trips are designed for travelers who are excited for adventure and keen to connect with like-minded people. While we believe that all adventurers are young at heart, our tours are especially tailored for those aged 18 to 39, which is why the upper limit is set at 59.

Asked on July 5th, 2025I am traveling by myself and I'd like to know whether I would have to pay a single supplement, and how much will that be? Is it possible you could arrange a another Solo Traveler to share the room with me?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
We don't offer single room upgrades in Japan, one reason is the cost of standard hotel rooms in Japan not being budget friendly and would make the tour significantly more money. Furthermore, we prefer to include some really cool unique accommodation experiences, i.e the temple stays and pods, rather than standard single hotel rooms, so you can make your time in Japan as memorable as possible, feeling like you've really immersed yourself into the culture and lifestyle of the locals. At the same time we know that keeping it affordable and pocket friendly for you is vital. We actually get continuous great feedback after the tour finishes from our guests, saying that sharing with another like minded traveller allowed them to build wholesome connections and share experiences as a group/family while at the same time ticking off the typical Japanese style accommodations together. Our Japan tour consists of twin and multi share rooming - during the twin-share nights you will be paired up with another solo traveller of the same gender. The multi-share nights will be spent in unique accommodation. You will get the chance to stay in a temple whilst learning to live like monks, and in pod style dormitory rooms only shared with other members from your One Life Adventure.

Asked on June 29th, 2025Do you still have 4 spaces available for the selected dates?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
We certainly do have 4 spots left for our tour commencing on the 16th March 2026, however, please do note that tours around this period do tend to fill up quite quickly, so be sure to keep your eye out on availability. We do also have a 14-day extension tour commencing on this date that takes you into Hiroshima and onto Miyajima Island!

Asked on June 27th, 2025Could you kindly provide information on the following points: Availability for 2 participants starting September 20, 2025. Accommodation in private double rooms throughout the tour, ideally in traditional ryokan-style lodgings or boutique Japanese guesthouses. Inclusion of the temple stay in Koya-san, with Shojin Ryori (vegetarian monk's meal) and morning meditation. Option to extend the itinerary by one day to allow for a comprehensive visit to EXPO 2025 in Osaka (ideally 2 full days at the Expo site). Optional Geisha evening in Kyoto, including a traditional dinner and performance. Inclusion of breakfasts at accommodations, where available – we are flexible, but would appreciate breakfast on-site when possible.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
We offer fixed group tours that have fixed itineraries. We do have departure dates set through September, these departures are as follows: 4th September, 2025, 11th September, 2025, 13th September, 2025, 27th September, 2025. Regarding a custom private tour, due to high demand we would be looking for a group size of 10 minimum.

Asked on June 20th, 2025If we had to cancel now, would our initial deposit be kept and subsequent payments refunded?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
If you're unable to proceed with your current booking, there are a couple of flexible options available: Date Change: You can move your booking to a new departure date. We're happy to offer free date changes, and if you need extra flexibility, we can allow multiple changes as long as the request is made at least 60 days before departure. Cancel & Rebook Later: If a date change doesn't work, we can cancel your booking and apply your deposit as a discount toward a future tour. Any additional payments made would then be refunded (no later than 60 days before departure)

Asked on June 5th, 2025Can you please share the additional options we can do during the tour??
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Free Time Suggestions & Optional Activities: Tokyo Skytree, Maid Cafe, Onsen, Heian Shrine, Kimono Hire, Geisha Performance, Extended Karaoke, Osaka Canal Boat Tour, Universal Studios. If you would like to do Street Go-Karting and TeamLab in Tokyo, please note that you have to book these in advance. The optional activities could take place during your free time and you can go off and explore certain areas of your own.

Asked on June 4th, 2025We are a family that really like the sound of your 10 day classic tour of Japan. But we're not within your age recommendations. The youngest is 16. Oldest 54. I'm 50 & young at heart. Is there any flexibility to accommodate us?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
At the moment, our tours are for guests who are 18 years and older. We understand how exciting it is to want to explore the world, and while we'd love to welcome everyone, we do need to stick to this minimum age for insurance and safety reasons. We hope to see you on an adventure with us in the future once you've hit that milestone birthday!
