Tanjung Puting National Park
An early flight takes you from Jakarta to Pangkalan Bun, followed by a short drive to Port Kumai where you'll board a traditional Klotok wooden boat that'll be your home for the next three nights. From there, head to Tanjung Harapan Orangutan Rehabilitation Center to watch rangers feed orphaned orangutans, then settle into your docking point. Later in the evening, join a night trek to search for nocturnal wildlife moving through the forest.

Tanjung Puting National Park
After breakfast on the Klotok, you'll visit Tanjung Harapan Village to see what daily life looks like for local Bornean communities. Back on the boat, cruise through the rainforest watching for proboscis monkeys, macaques, hornbills, kingfishers, crocodiles and monitor lizards. You'll stop at Camp Leakey conservation center to watch rangers feed orangutans, have a local Bornean lunch prepared right on board, then dock at Pondok Tanggui for your second night on the river.

Tanjung Puting National Park to Kumai Port
Two orangutan interactions happen today as you watch these intelligent primates move through the trees. Then board the Klotok for your final river cruise heading back toward Kumai Port, taking time to reflect on all the conservation work you've seen. Your last night aboard the boat is spent celebrating an incredible Bornean river adventure with the crew and group.

Pangkalan Bun
Your final Bornean breakfast happens on the Klotok before you say goodbye to the boat crew and drive back to Pangkalan Bun. The rest of the day is yours to use however you'd like in this gateway town to Tanjung Puting National Park. You can walk along the river, rest up, or join an optional tour of the town if you're interested in seeing more.

Pangkalan Bun to Jakarta
A morning flight returns you to Jakarta from Kalimantan, leaving the afternoon and evening free to explore Indonesia's capital. Consider hopping on an optional kayak tour through the mangroves at Taman Wisata Alam, or hit up Jalan Surabaya for some thrift shopping if that appeals to you.
