Cologne
Your New Year's cruise starts in Cologne with time to settle into your ship and get oriented. You'll attend a Welcome Cocktail reception on board, then head to dinner as the ship pushes off at 5:00pm toward Rüdesheim. It's a relaxed first evening to meet other passengers and adjust to your floating hotel.

Mainz
The ship arrives in Mainz at 10:00am, giving you the morning to walk around this cultural hub at your own pace. In the afternoon, head to the Eulchen Brewery to learn how they make their beer and what goes into the process. You'll need to be back on board before the 6:00pm departure.

Strasbourg
Strasbourg comes into view at noon, and you'll have time to explore the old town's narrow streets and canals on foot. If you want more coverage, there's an optional bus tour available that hits the city's highlights. The ship leaves at 6:00pm heading toward Switzerland, so plan accordingly.

- Day 4
Basel
Arriving in Basel at 8:00am on New Year's Eve means you can either take a morning sightseeing tour or wander Switzerland's third-largest city on your own. Later, return to the ship for an elegant dinner followed by a midnight champagne toast to ring in the new year with fellow travelers.

Basel to Speyer
After last night's festivities, this New Year's Day is built for relaxing. The ship departs Basel at 9:00am and drifts downriver through winter scenery. Grab meals in the dining room, settle into the Panorama Bar with views, or hang out in the AMADEUS Club while you recover at your own pace.

Mannheim - Heidelberg
You'll dock in Speyer at 2:00am, so an optional morning walk lets you see this historically important Rhineland-Palatinate city before a midday departure. The ship then heads to Mannheim, arriving at 2:00pm, where you can choose to visit Heidelberg nearby with its famous castle and old town, or stick around Mannheim. Either way, the ship doesn't leave until 11:59pm.

Koblenz
Early morning in Rüdesheim at 7:00am brings a guided morning walk through the town until 11:30am. After that, the ship sails past the dramatic Lorelei Rock and pulls into Koblenz by 2:00pm for an optional afternoon walking tour of the old town. Back on board for an elegant gala dinner as you continue toward Cologne.
