- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok whenever your flight gets in and connect with your CEO and the rest of the group. Later this evening, head over to Khao San Road, which is the central hub for travelers passing through the city. The area pulses with energy from the bars and clubs, and you'll find plenty of local street food stalls around. Try some Thai beer and tea, and if you're feeling adventurous, there's even deep-fried scorpion available if you want to test your limits.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
The whole day is yours to navigate Bangkok on your own schedule. Check out Wat Pho or the Grand Palace if you want to see major temples, or visit the National Museum and Jim Thompson's House for something different. Another option is taking a riverboat along the Chao Phraya River and through the smaller canals to get a sense of how people actually live along the water. By evening around 12:00, head to the train station to board your overnight train heading north to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai
You'll pull into Chiang Mai in the morning and can start exploring right away. The food scene here is excellent, so hit some of the street food areas to try what the locals eat. If temples interest you, Doi Suthep sits on a mountain just outside the city and offers great views. Alternatively, the Sankampang Hot Springs are nice for relaxing after travel. If you pre-booked the northern Thai cooking class, that's also happening today and gives you hands-on time learning traditional recipes.

Chiang Mai to Mae Malai
After breakfast, you'll pile into a pickup truck for the drive to Mae Malai village. From there, the trekking starts through forest terrain as you head toward hilltribe communities scattered throughout the region. Each village has its own language, beliefs, clothing traditions, and way of life. The walk to the first village with its thatch bungalows takes a few hours, and you'll pick up local knowledge and context with every kilometer traveled.

Hilltribe Trek Day 2
Hiking continues for about 2 to 3 hours before lunch. After eating, you'll walk to a Karen village to see how the community produces traditional blankets and scarves. The trek continues for several more hours until you reach the next village where you'll spend the night. Along the route, there's a chance to stop at Mae Tang River and try local fishing techniques or work together to construct a bamboo raft.

Landmarks/POIs Karen Village Mae Tang River - Day 6
Hilltribe Trek to Chiang Mai
After breakfast in the village, you'll travel downstream by bamboo raft to see more communities and landscapes from the water. A van picks you up after lunch and drives back to Chiang Mai where the day winds down. Try some of the city's well-known dishes like khao soi, which is noodles in a curry broth, and sai oua, a northern Thai sausage with lots of spice. In the evening, head to a local bar to relax and celebrate finishing the trek and the connections you've made.

Chiang Mai to Bangkok
Use this free day in Chiang Mai however you like. There's good shopping at the markets if that appeals to you, or book a Thai massage to relax. The temples around the city are worth a second look if you missed any the first day, or just return to a restaurant for another round of khao soi if you've fallen for it. Around 12:00 or 13:00 in the evening, head to the train station for your overnight train ride back to Bangkok.

Bangkok
The train pulls into Bangkok station around 8am and this is where the tour ends. Take some final photos with the people you've traveled with and swap social media or contact info. The group goes separate ways from here, but the friends you've made and the experiences from the past week tend to stick around much longer than the trip itself.
