Itinerary
- Day 1
Zurich to Basel
You'll arrive at Zurich airport and get transferred to your Emerald Cruises Star-Ship in Basel. The captain and crew welcome you on board, and you'll have time to settle in and get familiar with the ship before departure.

- Day 2
Colmar
Your first stop is Colmar, where you can take a guided tour through the cobblestone lanes with their colorful window boxes and half-timbered buildings. If you're interested in something different, canoeing on the Rhine gives you another way to see the area from the water.

Strasbourg
You'll experience Strasbourg on a traditional canal boat tour, passing through Petite France with its storybook canals, half-timbered houses, and covered bridges. The tour also includes the Neustadt imperial quarter, then you get free time to walk around and explore the city on your own.

Mainz
In Mainz, a guided tour takes you through the impressive sandstone cathedral, medieval market squares, and half-timbered houses. You'll learn about Johannes Gutenberg and how he created the first printed books, including the Gutenberg Bible, right here in this historic town.

Rheingau Region - Schloss Johannisberg & Sankt Goar
You can visit Schloss Johannisberg Winery in the Rheingau region, which is the world's first Riesling winery with over 1000 years of wine cultivation. The 900-year-old abbey cellar holds 25,000 precious wines. Alternatively, you might hike through vineyards to the historical Niederwalddenkmal Monument, and later join an optional afternoon hike in Sankt Goar to see Rheinfels Castle ruins.

Cochem

Koblenz to Bonn
Starting with a free morning in Koblenz, you'll sail through the afternoon taking in the Rhine and Moselle landscapes. After arriving in Bonn, the former capital of West Germany and Beethoven's birthplace, you can either take a walking tour of Bonn Minster, the old town, and Beethoven House, or join a guided bike tour through the city's hidden areas.

Nijmegen

After a morning walk in Dordrecht, you'll sail to Rotterdam. A walking tour shows you this city of architectural contrasts, from the WWII reconstruction efforts to contemporary Rotterdam with its tall commercial and residential buildings, including the historic 45-metre-high Witte Huis.
