- BMBruce· August 12th, 2025Terrific tour better than expected. Tina, tour guide, was great, knowledgeable and understanding. Optional excursions well worth it. Hotels and provided meals ok, more than adequate.Show moreTrip date: August 2025
- PBpaul· June 15th, 2025The guide Tamash was the best. He had everything arranged perfectly. The trains, excursions , free time, made it a fantastic trip.Show moreTrip date: June 2025
DONNA· October 16th, 2024The scenery, tour guide and fellow travelers were outstanding! Some improvements could be made on the accommodations and included meals. Cosmos should include more choices for meals and schedule a farewell dinner for the travelers.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
Helen· September 20th, 2024I would have liked more hiking opportunities. We were mostly in towns and not near the trails.Show moreTrip date: September 2024- ABArdath· August 23rd, 2024Less walking from train station to hotels!!! Too much walking !!! Either provide transportation or get hotel closer to transportation. Or provide more description of the amount of walking required. Travel director could have provided more details along the trip. For example times of train rides, times of meals. Meals were a challenge - trying to find somewhere to eat. Provide more meals. The overnight stay at Lasaunne was a waste for most people as we arrived late, had to walk too far and up hill to the hotel then left to return to Montreux the next morning. Would have preferred more time in Lasaunne.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- EWEddie· August 14th, 2024Good trip. I saw a lot of switzerland in a short amount of time. I sometimes wished I could have spent more time in a place, but it wasn't that kind of trip. It was great for getting a sampling of the country and then later planning a trip to an area you wanted to sere more of. No complaints - it was a good experience.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
Nanette· May 10th, 2024I travelled with the Switzerland By Train tour end of April/first of May. It was a good time to do this tour as you got to see the extremes of Switzerland....lots of snow still on the ground, but also lovely green in the valleys. The weather was nice...except the view of the Matterhorn. It was foggy/rainy/snowy that day and we didn't see the peak, but got to see a lot of snow so still a nice visit up top. Our guide, Tina, was awesome. She was professional but also very friendly and was very knowledgeable with all of the areas we visited. Using the VOX system, is great and kept the group together and everyone was able to hear what she was saying and it made it easier to follow directions. The hotels overall were nice and quaint. As European rooms go, smaller than the US, but overall were great. The main "Opportunity" that I feel needs to change is the food. I have travelled fairly extensively out of the USA so it wasn't the fact that it wasn't "American" Food.....it just simply wasn't very good. We did not have any choice. I feel a choice would be a great solution. It was either...here's the gnochi or nothing. Even just an option to have a large salad if the main dish wasn't something one would enjoy. The other issue is how it is advertised. The Train part of the trip was awesome! The views were stunning. However, it probably needs to be noted that one day you will be on a train for 8 hours (this was my favorite scenic day, but I had no idea we would be on a train for that long). This may not appeal to others. The porterage was great...however, most days, our luggage had to be out 2 hours plus before we were even leaving. My SIL travelled with us and had a bad ankle. She wasn't expecting the amount of walking that we had to do. None of this is bad, it just needs to be explained in the literature so that everyone knows what to expect. We had a great group and everyone helped each other out. Overall, a wonderful trip.Show moreTrip date: April 2024- YLYuan· May 5th, 2024The guide was good and the accommodation was nice.
