Bucharest to Matca
You'll leave Bucharest and drive into the Carpathian Mountains toward Peles Castle in Sinaia, a former royal residence with beautiful interiors and mountain views. Sighișoara to Viscri

Sighișoara to Piatra Neamț
Head out to see Red Lake, surrounded by pine forests with dramatic Eastern Carpathian peaks. The emerald-green water formed after an 1838 landslide and has eerie tree stumps sticking up from it. Then drive through the Bicaz Gorges where the Bicaz River carved a canyon through towering limestone cliffs. You'll stop for photos and short walks to take in the geological formations.
