Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
A representative from Ancient Egypt Tours will meet you at Cairo airport and drive you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Check-in happens at 14:00, so if you land earlier, you can relax in the lobby or arrange an extra night for immediate access. In the evening, you have the option to take a 2-hour Nile dinner cruise or catch the sound and light show if you're not too tired from travel.

Cairo: Giza Plateau, Memphis and Egyptian Museum
After having breakfast at the hotel, your private guide picks you up to head to Giza Plateau. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre's pyramid, Menkaure's pyramid, and the Great Sphinx, plus stop for photos with all three pyramids and Cairo's skyline in the background. From there you go to Saqqara to check out the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the Imhotep Museum, with views of the Dahshur pyramids in the distance. Then it's on to Memphis, the ancient capital, where you'll look at the Alabaster Sphinx, Temple of Ptah, and the Statue of Ramses II before heading back to your hotel.

Cairo: Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to visit the Egyptian Museum, which holds over 250,000 genuine ancient artifacts from 5,000 years of history. You'll spend time looking at King Tutankhamun's golden treasures, jewels, and statues. Later you'll explore Old Cairo's religious buildings including the Hanging Church from the 3rd-4th century, Abu Sirga Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue, then see the Amr Ibn El-Aas Mosque, Egypt's first mosque. If time allows, you can browse Khan El Khalili Bazaar before being transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight.
