    I was looking for an adventure that showcased the very best of Iceland without the usual crowds. This trip was perfect for that, it truly felt like we were alone in the vastness- we hardly saw anyone on this trek which in a way, brought out the majestic nature of the country even more. Staying in the shepherd huts along the way made it for an even more immersive experience, they were so well maintained and cozy and the natural backdrop for each place was breathtaking. Definitely recommend!

    I’m so glad I chose this journey over the traditional Golden Circle and day hikes. It still captured the cultural and landscape highlights, but through an entirely different lens. Trekking through Iceland’s highlands is unlike anything else: days of walking through vast volcanic ash fields, endless mossy plateaus, and absolute silence. It truly felt otherworldly. Found Expeditions was very professional. From securing hard-to-book huts to ensuring briefings before every part of the trek, especially with a focus on sensitive environments and responsible travel. Special thanks to our local guide Guffi, his knowledge, warmth, and deep connection to the land made a huge difference. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
