- Day 1
Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and settle into your downtown waterfront hotel. Spend the day at your own pace checking out the city's five National Historic Sites like the Halifax Citadel, Georges Island, Fort McNab, York Redoubt and the Prince of Wales Tower. Later in the evening you'll meet your Travel Director and other travelers for a Welcome Dinner.

Halifax
A Local Expert guides you through the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where you'll learn about the Halifax Explosion of 1917 and the Titanic's connection to the city. After a guided tour showing off Halifax's character, you can choose your afternoon: the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, the Maud Lewis Gallery, or the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.

Halifax to Lunenburg to Peggy's Cove
You'll travel to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walk through one of North America's best surviving British Colonial settlements with a Local Expert. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic shows how the fishing industry shaped the region. From there you head to Peggy's Cove to see the iconic lighthouse on St. Margarets Bay.

Baddeck
Start at Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre where interpreters share 7,500 years of Mi'kmaq culture and history. Later you'll take a guided cruise on Bras d'Or Lake spotting lighthouses, bird estuaries and historic sites including Alexander Graham Bell's mansion. Dinner features Cape Breton-style seafood at your waterfront hotel, followed by a traditional Ceilidh evening with Celtic music and bagpipes.

Cabot Trail
You'll head to The Gaelic College to learn about fabric milling traditions and see a kilt-making demonstration. Then you drive the famous Cabot Trail through Cape Breton Highlands National Park with dramatic coastal views, mountain scenery and charming villages along the route.

Baddeck to Charlottetown
Check out the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to explore his inventions and achievements. After that you'll take a ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. You'll spend the next three nights at The Delta Prince Edward, the city's only waterfront hotel steps from shops and restaurants.

Prince Edward Island National Park - Cavendish
You'll visit Green Gables Heritage Place and the house that inspired L.M. Montgomery's 'Anne of Green Gables'. Explore Prince Edward Island National Park with a Local Expert, seeing dramatic cliffs, wind-whipped dunes and countryside. Later you'll have free time in Charlottetown to wander around, maybe checking out Victorian Beaconsfield Historic House or Victoria Park's boardwalk.

In Georgetown, a local fisherman shares stories about life at sea and the lobster and mussel industry. You'll enjoy lunch of fresh island blue mussels he prepares. Next you head to Rossignol Winery for a tasting of their table and fruit wines. End your day touring Point Prim, PEI's first lighthouse.

Charlottetown to Shediac to Hopewell Cape
You'll cross the eight-mile Confederation Bridge from Prince Edward Island to the mainland. In Shediac, check out the Homarus Centre to learn about lobster life cycles and local fishery practices. At Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy, a Local Expert shows you the dramatic tides. Dinner features a traditional Acadian lobster boil, followed by a hands-on mixology class with local ingredients.

You'll drive along the Fundy Trail Parkway from Alma to St. Martin with views of forest and coast, plus hiking trails and beaches. A seasonal ferry takes you across the Bay of Fundy from St. John to Digby (watch for whales and marine life). You'll arrive at Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa overlooking the bay. Relax with craft beer or wine or enjoy a spa service.

This evening a former scallop fisher gives a culinary demonstration on shucking fresh scallops before cooking them for your seafood dinner celebrating Digby's famous scallops.
