You'll arrive in Halifax and settle into your downtown hotel with waterfront views. After checking in, the city is yours to explore on your own schedule. This evening you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a Welcome Dinner.

Halifax

Peggy's Cove
Head to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a walking tour with a Local Expert who'll explain how it became one of North America's finest British Colonial settlements, complete with its iconic brightly painted houses. Next you'll visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, and from there drive to Peggy's Cove to see the famous lighthouse perched on dramatic granite rocks.

By evening you'll have a traditional Cape Breton-style seafood dinner followed by a Ceilidh Celtic evening with Acadian hospitality and music.

Travel to the fishing village of Georgetown to meet a local fisherman who'll share stories about life at sea and tell you about the lobster and mussel industry. Later, visit Rossignol Estate Winery for a tasting of oak-aged wines paired with local cheese and crackers, and finish at Point Prim, PEI's first lighthouse.
