Sofia
You'll get picked up from the airport and head to your hotel in Sofia. Later that day, a guided tour takes you through the city's main spots including Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sofia Basilica, the National Art Gallery Building, and the Presidential Palace. Then you'll settle in for the night.

Sofia to Belgrade
After breakfast, you're heading by bus to Belgrade. During the drive you'll see the Danube and Sava rivers, and you'll pass the medieval Belgrade Fortress. Once there, you'll walk through Knez Mihailova, a busy shopping street with cafes and shops. A walking tour then shows you Belgrade's main landmarks and their stories.

Today you're driving toward the Adriatic coast, stopping in Mostar first. You'll walk through the Old Town and see the iconic Stari Most bridge and the old carshija. Lunch happens at a local place with nice views. After eating, you can explore more of the old town and try traditional Turkish coffee. In the afternoon, you'll continue on to Trebinje for the night, with a chance to see Kravica Waterfalls along the way.

Trebinje to Dubrovnik to Kotor
This is a longer travel day. You start in Dubrovnik where the old town, surrounded by well-preserved walls and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gets a guided walking tour. From there, you drive to Kotor, arriving after a scenic route. Kotor has similar appeal to Dubrovnik but fewer crowds. You'll walk through the old town with a local guide and get some free time before heading to Albania.

After breakfast, you take a panoramic tour of Tirana to see the best Albanian architecture, then you have free time around Skenderbeg Square. In the afternoon, you continue toward Ohrid in Macedonia and check into your hotel. You can rest or join an optional Balkan dinner, depending on your energy level.

Ohrid
You'll have breakfast and then join a local guide for a full Ohrid tour. This covers the Lower Gate, Houses of Robevci, Cathedral Church of Saint Sophia, the Antique Theater, Church of Saint Bogorodica from the 13th century, the Upper Gate, and Tsar Samuil Fortress. Later you'll continue to St. Naum, a historic monastery right on Lake Ohrid's shores.
