Itinerary
- Day 1
Sofia
You'll arrive in Sofia and meet your Travel Talk guide at the airport for the transfer to your hotel. After checking in, there's a welcome meeting around 7pm followed by dinner. If you're not too tired from traveling, an optional panoramic city tour starts at 9pm to give you a first look at Bulgaria's capital.

Sofia to Belgrade
Following breakfast, you'll travel by coach to Belgrade, Serbia's capital. The fortress overlooks both the Danube and Sava rivers, and you'll walk through Knez Mihailova, the vibrant shopping street. A guided city tour then takes you through Belgrade's main landmarks and covers some of the city's complex history.

Belgrade to Sarajevo
You're heading to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital, where East meets West with layers of history from Roman times through the Yugoslav War. A walking tour moves through the old town so you can see the blend of different cultures, religions, and architecture all together. Make sure to try the local lamb dishes while you're there.

Sarajevo to Mostar to Trebinje
The route toward the Adriatic stops first in Mostar. You'll walk the old town and see Stari Most bridge, then check out the Čaršija market. Lunch comes with local views, and you'll have time to sample traditional Turkish coffee before continuing to Trebinje for the night.

Trebinje to Dubrovnik and back to Trebinje
You're spending the full day in Dubrovnik, and the drive down the mountainside gives you a sense of what's coming. A guided tour covers the Old Town's medieval walls, narrow streets, and historic sites. You can either grab fresh seafood or swim in the water before heading back to Trebinje for the night.

Trebinje to Kotor to Shkoder
After traveling through Montenegro, you'll reach Kotor, which feels like a less crowded version of Dubrovnik with its medieval citadel and natural setting. A local guide leads a walking tour, then you have free time to explore on your own. From there, you'll continue to Shkoder in Albania for an orientation walk and overnight stay.

Shkoder to Tirana to Ohrid
Following breakfast, a panoramic city tour shows off Tirana's best preserved Albanian architecture. You'll have free time around Skenderbeg square, then travel to Ohrid in Macedonia to check in. An optional Balkan dinner night is available if you want to join other travelers, or you can rest after the drive.

Ohrid to Skopje
A guided city tour of Old Ohrid introduces you to the hundreds of chapels and churches throughout the town. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, where you'll stay overnight.

Skopje to Sofia
On your final day, a guided sightseeing tour covers Skopje's architecture, grand monuments, and history. You'll get a photo with the famous Alexander the Great statue and walk through the Macedonian Arc de Triumph, then explore the café culture. After that, you'll depart for Sofia where the tour ends and you say goodbye to your group.
