- deborah· July 13th, 2025WOW!!! What an amazing trip to the Balkans led by our superlative guide Dusan Tosic and highly skilled driver Mitko who drove that big beautiful bus with precision. Dusan was highly organized and made our diverse group of once strangers feel like family. This tour was a whirlwind of rich history, architecture, culture, cuisine, majestic mountain landscapes, seascapes, and rivers. The itinerary and optional excursions were ideal to savor the region. Our city walks with local guides added depth to the history of each place visited. The hotels were great with only minor inconveniences. Multiple border crossings were essentially seamless. Highly recommend!!!!!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Deborah, thank you so much for your wonderful review! - RBRowena· June 7th, 2025If you like being in the bus this tour is for you… long driving to reach each country. It’s okay since it’s the cheapest way to travel and be able to see 5 countries in 9 days … less to see and not enough time to explore. It’s ok cuz accommodation and breakfast is included. Maybe next time enjoy each country at a time especially Montenegro which is beautiful.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Rowena, thank you for your honest feedback! - Neil Vivian· May 19th, 2025Balkans 9 Day Tour, started 8th May, 2025 This tour is incredible value for money, so many incredible places visited. Bojan (our guide) was funny, friendly and helpful. I was very lucky with the group on the tour, many great like minded people. Personal highlights, Bosnia (all of it!) and Kotor in Montenegro. It's an area I had not visited before but will definitely be back. Can only thank Bojan, the group and Travel Talk for such a great experience. It's a fast paced tour, get your outfit for tomorrow ready and be almost packed to go the night before to take the stress out of early starts. Additional experiences were well worth it, Balkan Meal wasn't great as I don't eat meat but still fun watching the dancing and chatting to everyone. I'd happily do it all again. If you want to visit Kosovo you can on the last night from Skopje but need to organise it yourself. Happy to pass on details of this if interested.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

- AMAndres· January 3rd, 2025All I can say is that I’m glad I booked this tour to see the Best of the Balkans. Boyan our tour leader was great and so was our driver aka ‘Barry White’. They both made the tour much more enjoyable. It's fast-paced for sure however this was the perfect taster for the Balkans and we got to see the best in each city. The highlights were walking 'The Walls' in Dubrovnik, all of Sarajevo, and Kotor, the food everywhere was awesome. Lastly, all the Churches and Mosques were just beautiful. The biggest surprise was Albania and Macedonia, I didn't know what to expect and was struck by the beauty.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Andres, thank you so much for your amazing review! - AHAlison· October 23rd, 2024Whirlwind itinerary that some older people may have struggled with. We had to leave the hotels by 8am and many hours in the coach before reaching out next destination, usually at around 7pm. Gives you a great flavour of all the Balkans countries however and the other people on our trip were great! Mainly Americans and Australians. The tour guide Dusan was amazing - hard working, humorous and so enthusiastic about the different towns and cities we visited. Excellent value for money all round and generally good hotels. The one in Trebinje left a little to be desired however I really cannot fault the trip for what we paid. Kris was also an excellent, safe driver which as a nervous passenger, I really appreciated.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Alison, thank you for sharing your experience on the tour! Asked on April 16th, 2025Is the upper age range of 59 a suggestion or a hard upper limit?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2025
The upper age range listed (e.g., 18–59) is a guideline, not a strict limit. It's intended to reflect the typical age range of travelers who join the tour. That said, we regularly welcome travelers over 59 who are young at heart, active, and ready for adventure! If you're fit, mobile, and comfortable with the tour pace and style, you're more than welcome to join.

Asked on April 16th, 2025I am 73 I am mobile-ie I am able to walk freely and don't need assistance to get on or off a bus as I am up and down the stairs in my house all day. I do all my own housework, shopping and gardening as I grow an organic food garden in my backyard. I don't need nor take any medication. Unless you are running a marathon, is there a reason why I can't manage this Tour. What is the most strenuous part of this Tour.
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2025
You are absolutely welcome to join the tour. The age guideline is there as a general reference, but what truly matters is your overall health, mobility, and enthusiasm for travel. This tour does not involve any highly strenuous activities. While there may be some walking tours and occasional stairs or uneven surfaces, it sounds like you are more than capable of managing these comfortably.
