- Aaslamtrichy@yahoo.com· August 4th, 2025One of the Best Tour Packages which I have been. Amazing Tour Guides Boyan was extraordinary, very knowledgeable, very funny but true experiences and history which he explained. He also details about stops what to expect in Hotels and Toilet facilities en route. Most of the Hotels was very good. Novotel Sofia was high class & Panorama Trebinje was astonishingly beautiful. Aqualina Ohrid stunning location but many things like cupboards etc is broken and unfinished (please kindly fix it). Belgrade Abba Hotel Bathroom water coming out as floors needs proper draining inclination but otherwise hotel was good. Sky Bar in Panormika Skopje was stunning. Breakfast was 5*. On Hotels had issues which I hope they will fix soon.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi, thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! - deborah· July 13th, 2025WOW!!! What an amazing trip to the Balkans led by our superlative guide Dusan Tosic and highly skilled driver Mitko who drove that big beautiful bus with precision. Dusan was highly organized and made our diverse group of once strangers feel like family. This tour was a whirlwind of rich history, architecture, culture, cuisine, majestic mountain landscapes, seascapes, and rivers. The itinerary and optional excursions were ideal to savor the region. Our city walks with local guides added depth to the history of each place visited. The hotels were great with only minor inconveniences. Multiple border crossings were essentially seamless. Highly recommend!!!!!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Deborah, thank you so much for your wonderful review! - RBRowena· June 7th, 2025If you like being in the bus this tour is for you… long driving to reach each country. It’s okay since it’s the cheapest way to travel and be able to see 5 countries in 9 days … less to see and not enough time to explore. It’s ok cuz accommodation and breakfast is included. Maybe next time enjoy each country at a time especially Montenegro which is beautiful.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Rowena, thank you for your honest feedback! - Neil Vivian· May 19th, 2025Balkans 9 Day Tour, started 8th May, 2025 This tour is incredible value for money, so many incredible places visited. Bojan (our guide) was funny, friendly and helpful. I was very lucky with the group on the tour, many great like minded people. Personal highlights, Bosnia (all of it!) and Kotor in Montenegro. It's an area I had not visited before but will definitely be back. Can only thank Bojan, the group and Travel Talk for such a great experience. It's a fast paced tour, get your outfit for tomorrow ready and be almost packed to go the night before to take the stress out of early starts. Additional experiences were well worth it, Balkan Meal wasn't great as I don't eat meat but still fun watching the dancing and chatting to everyone. I'd happily do it all again. If you want to visit Kosovo you can on the last night from Skopje but need to organise it yourself. Happy to pass on details of this if interested.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

- AMAndres· January 3rd, 2025All I can say is that I’m glad I booked this tour to see the Best of the Balkans. Boyan our tour leader was great and so was our driver aka ‘Barry White’. They both made the tour much more enjoyable. It's fast-paced for sure however this was the perfect taster for the Balkans and we got to see the best in each city. The highlights were walking 'The Walls' in Dubrovnik, all of Sarajevo, and Kotor, the food everywhere was awesome. Lastly, all the Churches and Mosques were just beautiful. The biggest surprise was Albania and Macedonia, I didn't know what to expect and was struck by the beauty.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Andres, thank you so much for your amazing review! - AHAlison· October 23rd, 2024Whirlwind itinerary that some older people may have struggled with. We had to leave the hotels by 8am and many hours in the coach before reaching out next destination, usually at around 7pm. Gives you a great flavour of all the Balkans countries however and the other people on our trip were great! Mainly Americans and Australians. The tour guide Dusan was amazing - hard working, humorous and so enthusiastic about the different towns and cities we visited. Excellent value for money all round and generally good hotels. The one in Trebinje left a little to be desired however I really cannot fault the trip for what we paid. Kris was also an excellent, safe driver which as a nervous passenger, I really appreciated.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Alison, thank you for sharing your experience on the tour! Asked on August 10th, 2025Is transfert from and to airport granted both ways or only at the arrival? As a solo traveler, Am i supposed to share the room with a same gender fellow? What time is the tour supposed to finish at on the last day? What's the best option? Booking the flight out on the 7th september or the following day?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written August 2025
The arrival airport transfer is included from Sofia Airport to the hotel on Day 1 only. As a solo traveler, you will share a room with a same-gender fellow traveler. The tour finishes around 6:00 PM on the last day. If you have a long-haul flight, the best option would be to book it for the following day. However, if your flight is short, you can depart the same evening.

Traveler•Written August 2025Will I be able to catch a transfer from Sofia? Where is the coach dropping us off after the tour finishes? How long does it take from the city to the airport? Which cost can i approximately consider?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written August 2025
Transfers are only provided on the official tour start and end days. The transfer from Sofia city to the airport typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. A taxi usually costs approximately 20-30 EUR. The coach drop-off at the end of the tour is usually at the same hotel where you started, Novotel hotel Sofia.

Asked on July 15th, 2025Like to know if this tour is adequate for seniors with decreased mobility.
- Travel TalkOperator•Written July 2025
This tour involves frequent walking tours on cobbled streets, steps, and uneven surfaces, especially in old towns like Dubrovnik, Kotor, and Mostar. Daily hotel changes and some long travel days can also be tiring for those with decreased mobility. If you or your fellow traveler can walk moderate distances with breaks and handle some stairs, it may be manageable with caution. However, if substantial assistance or a wheelchair is needed, this itinerary could be quite challenging.

Asked on July 2nd, 2025Could you please let me know the exact location where the tour will conclude? Also, is it possible to arrange an airport transfer after the tour ends?

Traveler•Written July 2025Since there are only about three hours between the end of the tour and my flight, I think it would be best to arrange a transfer in advance. How much would it cost to book a transfer from the Novotel Sofia Hotel to the airport after the tour ends?
