- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and head to your hotel to settle in. Spend the rest of the day walking around the capital at your own pace, checking out neighborhoods, grabbing a coffee, or just getting oriented. Later this evening you'll meet up with your travel director and fellow travelers for a light meal to kick things off.

- Day 2
Athens
This morning a local specialist guides you through Athens's ancient sites, starting with the Acropolis and the Parthenon, then moving to the Royal Palace and Temple of Zeus. You'll head to the included Acropolis Museum to see incredible ancient artifacts up close. On your way back you'll pass Hadrian's Arch and the 1896 Olympic stadium. The afternoon is yours to wander through the Plaka, hang out in Syntagma Square, or hunt down the best souvlaki in town.

Athens to Nafplion
You'll leave Athens and drive through the Corinth Canal into the Peloponnesian Peninsula. After exploring ancient Corinth with a local specialist, you head to Mycenae to see the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's Royal Palace. From there it's on to Epidaurus for the ancient theatre and Sanctuary of Asclepius. You arrive in the charming Venetian town of Nafplion by evening and have dinner at your hotel.

Nafplion to Olympia
You'll travel through the Arcadian mountains toward Olympia, stopping at a family-run honey farm to taste thyme-infused honey and learn how they protect the region's biodiversity through traditional practices. Later you'll explore Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games from 776 BC. This evening you experience Greek hospitality at the Karabelas family's olive and wine estate with a be my guest dinner and traditional dancing.

Olympia to Delphi
A local specialist walks you through the ancient Olympic site and museum, showing you the ruined temples of Zeus and Hera. After leaving Olympia you head north along the coastline to Patras, cross the Gulf of Corinth, and continue to Delphi. If you're interested, you can join an interactive cooking lesson to try preparing some local dishes.

You'll follow the same path ancient Greeks took seeking guidance from the oracle at Delphi, walking with your local specialist along the Sacred Way to the 4th-century Temple of Apollo. You see statues honoring athletes from the Pythian Games, then drive to Thermopylae where Leonidas and his Spartans made their famous stand. After crossing the fertile Thessaly plain, you arrive in Kalambaka by evening.

Kalambaka to Athens
This morning you visit the UNESCO World Heritage monasteries of Meteora with a local specialist, exploring two of the six Eastern Orthodox monasteries that sit dramatically on immense rock towers. You then drive back toward Athens for a scenic route through the countryside. Later this evening you have a final dinner with your travel companions to talk about your journey through Greece.

Athens to Mykonos
You board your cruise ship and sail across the Aegean Sea toward Mykonos. By evening you're wandering through the island's narrow lanes with whitewashed cottages and vibrant magenta bougainvillea, getting a feel for the place before settling in for the night.

Kusadasi to Patmos
The ship takes you to Kusadasi on the Turkish coastline for a complimentary shore experience to ancient Ephesus. Later the ship continues to Patmos, where you can optionally visit the Cave of the Apocalypse and St. John's Monastery on your own.

You arrive in Rhodes and have the option to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Walking through the medieval capital, you explore the thick stone walls, gates, and cobblestone lanes that tell the story of the knights who once ruled here. You'll have time to wander around on your own before heading back to the cruise ship.

Crete and Santorini
You sail to Heraklion on Crete where you can explore the Palace of Knossos and learn about the centuries-old Minoan culture. The ship then continues to Santorini, the beautiful volcanic island with villages built into the cliffs. If you're interested, there's an optional shore experience to the sun-kissed village of Oia.
