Itinerary
- Day 1
Tokyo to Hokkaido
Start your trip by meeting your CEO and group for a welcome briefing in Tokyo. From there, you'll head to the airport and fly to Memanbetsu in Hokkaido. Once you land, a transfer takes you to your hotel near Shiretoko National Park. The evening wraps up with dinner together as a group.

Shiretoko National Park
After breakfast, head out to the Five Lakes area of Shiretoko National Park. These five lakes formed from Mount Lo's eruption and offer nice views of the surrounding mountains and wilderness. In the afternoon, you'll take a short walk to Furepe Waterfall, which drops directly into the Okhotsk Sea.

Shiretoko Primeval Forest
This morning starts with a guided three to four hour hike through the Primeval Forest area of Shiretoko Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Keep your eyes open for Steller's sea eagles and Japanese deer while walking along dramatic cliffs that overlook turquoise waters. The afternoon is yours to relax at the hotel's bathing facilities or walk into the nearby village.

Lake Akan & Ainu Culture
You'll leave Shiretoko and travel inland toward Lake Akan. Along the way, stop at the active volcano Mt Lo inside the Kussharo caldera to see sulfurous smoke and steam rising up. At Lake Kussharo's shore, you'll dig your own personal hot spring right in the sand. Before arriving at your ryokan, check out the observatory deck for views of both Lake Kussharo and Lake Mashu. After settling in, dinner includes an evening Ainu cultural performance with ceremonial dance, contemporary dance, and digital art.

Lake Akan to Asahikawa
The morning at your ryokan is relaxed. You can soak in the hot springs again or join your CEO for a walk around Lake Akan if you prefer. Later, head to Asahikawa where dinner features the local ramen the area's known for throughout Japan.

Daisetsuzan Asahidake
Lace up your hiking boots and go to Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway. A ten minute gondola ride takes you up to the starting point, then you'll spend a couple hours walking around the area. Mountain range views come and go as fog rolls through, creating a nice backdrop for your hike.

Sapporo
Sapporo, Hokkaido's capital, gives you options for how to spend the day. You can join your CEO on a half day cycling tour through nearby Otaru, a historic town with lots to see, or walk on your own to visit Hokkaido Jingu, a Shinto shrine that honors four deities.

Sapporo Markets & Beer
Get to know Sapporo by starting at Nijo Market, where you'll walk through stalls selling fresh seafood caught off Hokkaido's coast including crabs, fish, fresh urchin, and fish eggs. Then head over to Sapporo Beer Museum, home of Japan's first beer. There you'll try unique brews that you can only find at this location.
