Germany to Windhoek
Your evening flight from Germany gets you into Windhoek, where you'll be transferred to your accommodation. It's a travel day, so you'll settle in and get ready for the photography adventure ahead.

Windhoek to Keetmanshoop
Meet your photo tour guide this morning, then drive south through Rehoboth toward Keetmanshoop. After settling into your accommodation, you'll head out for an evening photo session at Quiver Tree Forest, where thousands of ancient aloe trees create striking compositions. You'll capture landscape shots in the dark before heading back for the night.

Keetmanshoop to Aus
Start photographing the massive dolerite rock formations that formed 180 million years ago. From there, head south to Klein Aus Vista, a scenic guest lodge where you'll stay. In the evening, you'll watch the sunset over the desert from the Wild Horse Bar and hang out with fellow travelers.

Aus to Lüderitz
Explore Kolmannskuppe, a ghost town with sand ruins from a former diamond mining settlement. You'll get a detailed tour with special photo permit access to capture the history here. Later, continue to Lüderitz, which you'll wander through and photograph its colorful German colonial-era buildings and art nouveau architecture.

Aus to Tiras Mountains
You'll start with sunrise photography early on. Drive leisurely to the Tiras Mountains where purple-shimmering mountains contrast with golden dunes that turn red at sunset. Stay at a private lodge on 21,000 hectares and go on safari in open vehicles to photograph giraffes, zebras, oryx, and ostriches. Enjoy sundowner drinks as the sun sets.

Landmarks/POIs Tiras Mountains - Day 6
Tiras Mountains to Sossusvlei
Head out in the afternoon to the high dunes of Sossusvlei in the Namib, the oldest desert in the world. You'll photograph ancient camel thorn trees under clear blue skies. Your accommodation is right in the national park, so you're positioned perfectly for extended photography sessions.

Sossusvlei and Deadvlei
Get up early to catch the best light at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Since your accommodation is nearby, you'll reach the park before other visitors arrive. You'll experience unique plays of light and shadow on the apricot-colored dunes. Travel by four-wheel drive to Sossusvlei, climb one of the huge dunes for panoramic views, then spend a leisurely afternoon at Dead Valley Lodge.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
Drive through Kuiseb Canyon via Walvis Bay and head to Swakopmund. You'll check out this German colonial-era town and visit landmarks like the restored Wilhelminian-style railway station (now an entertainment center), Woermann House with its municipal library, and the 21-meter-high lighthouse. In the afternoon, visit Mondesa township for cultural insights and photography.

Swakopmund to Erongo Mountains
Search for desert wildlife like the transparent palmato gecko, desert chameleon, dune lizard, and dwarf puff adder with expert Chris. You'll learn about biology, history, and chemistry while photographing these tiny creatures. Travel from the Atlantic coast to the Erongo Mountains and photograph the granite formation of Spitzkoppe at sunset, then review your images around a campfire.

- Day 10
Erongo Mountains to Uis
Photograph rock formations, plants, and animals in the first light of day. Travel to Uis, a sleepy mountain workshop near Namibia's highest peak, Brandberg. You'll stay at a welcoming guesthouse known for excellent cuisine and farmhouse-style furnishings. In the evening, take a four-wheel drive sunset drive as Brandberg shimmers in the light.

Landmarks/POIs Brandberg - Day 11
Desert Elephants and Himba Village
Rise early to photograph desert elephants with expert Anton. These majestic animals roam an area the size of Lower Saxony between the Huab and Ugab dry rivers, and you'll capture them with Brandberg behind you and the rising sun ahead. In the afternoon, visit a Himba village to learn about their culture, traditions, ochre stone use, and traditional dress.

Okonjima Nature Reserve
Travel to Okonjima, a conservation project by the Hanssen family. You'll learn how the farm transformed from livestock farming to a protected refuge for endangered species. Over two days, join guided explorations of the 200 km2 nature reserve tracking brown hyenas, bat-eared foxes, rhinos, and nearly 40 mammal species. You might photograph leopards if you're lucky. There's also night tracking for pangolins on foot, and you can relax by the pool between activities.

Landmarks/POIs Okonjima Nature Reserve - Day 14
Okonjima to Windhoek and Departure
Leave the African wilderness and head to Windhoek. You'll take an afternoon walk through the capital and explore its colonial past. Visit Independence Avenue, the Old Fortress, and Christ Church. Stroll through Parliament Gardens and photograph the Independence Memorial with Sam Nujoma's statue. Head to the airport in the late afternoon with thousands of photos from your journey.
